Additional Comments |
Dr. Gibson is a wonderful professor. If you are not into classical music, this class is not for you. However, if you are looking for a relatively easy class to get your GenEd hours, I highly recommend this one. We basically took notes in class everyday, which was extremely boring. But, at the end of the semester we watched plays and music productions on film. Dr. Gibson almost always let us out early (maybe 15-20 minutes) which was very nice. His policy is that if you don't waste his time, he won't waste yours. He expects you to be in class and on time. Attendance is not part of your grade, but he does take roll and this might be helpful if you had a borderline grade at the end of the semester. There are several opportunities for extra credit. If you attend 3 musical performances during the semester then he will add 6 points to your FINAL GRADE. (2 points for each performance you attend) Also, if you have an A in the course and have attended at least 3 performances, you are exempt from the final (which is cumulative). Overall, I recommend Dr. Gibson.
