Dr. Kim is a great teacher. He has a thick accent, but he works with his students. I got an A because I did the extra credit and read the book, it's not hard. Dr. Kim is by far the sweetest professor I've at WKU.

Dr. Kim's online class was horrible. He posted very few notes to help you with the information, and he did not post any power points. There are 4 quizes and 4 assignments that are done. He does a poor job of responding back to emails and helping you if you need it. Overall, the course I thought would be pretty easy, but he does not provide the resources you need in order for someone to succeed for this course. You must understand everything on your own in order to pass his tests. If you have a choice, do not take Dr. Kim

There are only about 4 tests and 4 homework assignments that you have to do over the semester. The homework assignments are just a list of questions that won't take you very long to do. Personally, I thought this class was somewhat difficult, but I didn't really have the time to study for it as much as I would've liked. If you're good at math and econ, go ahead and take the web course because it'll be cake. If you find you're not as good at this stuff, however, you'd be better off going to a class.

Mr. Kim is a very nice person, however he puts you in a seating chart like you're four, and speaks almost inaudibly if you're at the back of the class. Missing this class was my main problem; if you don't intend to go to every class meeting, do not take him. His tests come straight from lecture and his lectures are kind of confusing. Be sure to read the book, it's your biggest tool. He will work with you as best he can, but his accent and disability make this class difficult.

Professor Kim is the worst teacher that I have ever had at Western, and I have had a lot of bad teachers. I took this course online. Professor Kim would post about 2 sentences worth of notes on blackboard for the entire chapter, but you were expected to know it all. He was never available to help and wouldn't even give an exam review, which is relatively unheard of in an online course. I hated this class with a passion. I am a 3.8 student and usually enjoy school but I would not recommend this class or this professr to ANYONE....he needs new teaching methods or to go back to freakin China. He sucks. And clearly does NOT care about his students or the grades they receive whatsoever.

He is evil and needes to be destroyed. He would have lectures right before a test, cutting down your time to focus. He was not symphatic to personal needs. He just didn't care about how his students did in his class. He had pathetic excuses for notes and his language skills were not up to par.... If I were you and I was taking him for whatever reason, I would think twice, Three times!!! He is EVIL and needs to be destroyed.

DO NOT take Dr. Kim if at all possible! He is a sweet man, but not a good teacher. He has a very thick accent and it is hard to understand him at times. The extra credit project is only worth 10 points and it has to be ten pages long. Also, the tests are very hard.

While many people criticize Dr. Kim for his thick accent, he is one of the nicest professors on campus. He is willing to work with students on their grades. He rewards students for attending every class with 12 extra pts for perfect attendance and 10pts for only one absence. There is also an extra credit project that could add up to 15 extra pts to your total. I would recommend following along in the textbook as he lectures just in case you have difficulty understanding. I will also note that there were many rude people in his class who would talk throughout the period or walk out early every single class. Overall, a good professor.

Dr. Kim is really nice, but he has a really bad accent and it is so hard to understand him and he's not really good with answering questions. His tests are hard because i had no clue what he was talkin about in class. He repeats the same thing over and over so you never really know what he's talkin about. Attendance is mandatory, if you have perfect attendance he gives you 12 extra credit points.

I recieved a "C" in his class, this coming after I made a 99% in microeconomics. Kim teaches directly from the book and this it makes the class much harder. His True/False question are not really true false at all, but they are more like 2-3 sentences answers. I do not recommend taking this class, especially if you like economics like me. Because after taking his class, I almost switched my major because he almost ruined the whole subject for me.

His accent will take a little getting use to. Overall a very nice person and willing to help you if you do have trouble.

Dr. Kim is helpful and wants his students to perform well in class. He is patient, and he offers several ways to prepare his students for exams, such as extra credit, credit for good attendance, homework assignments to prepare us for exams, and optional review sessions before the exams where we can run through what will be on the test and ask questions. He is Korean, but he speaks understandable English. Although this was difficult, and Kim didn't have the greatest teaching style, this was my favorite course this semester.

Dr. Kim is very helpful. He's from Korea and posesses a thick accent (like many of the teachers I've had) but does his best to help everyone. The material is hard. His tests are hard, but fair. I typically take 4-5 pages of notes per class (75 minutes). You can earn extra credit by missing less than 5 classes or typing papers. If you're a good student you should do fine. If you sleep through or don't pay attention to his class, you'll find it very difficult.

If you are into massive amounts of notes everyday, hours of homework that is only worth a few points, huge extra-credit assignments that give only a little boost, and at-times critically confusing tests; This is the class. Hak Kim is a very difficult teacher to understand due to his accent. However, I found that if you go to class every day, and go to the study sessions he leads before tests, it is very easy to get an A in the class. He gives 2 quizes before ach test (there are 3 tests) and many of the test questions come directly from the quizes. He also gives major extra credit for good attendance and there are papers you can write to recieve more extra credit.

Dr Kim is a nice guy but he's just a terrible teacher. Take him if you like starting class right and time and staying until the final minute....somtimes even 2 or 3 minutes late. I have him on a Tuesday Thursday and i dread those 75 minutes of my day...actually most of the time its more like 78 minutes of constant notetaking and trying to understand him. His English is terrible and so is his handwritting. The class is much too difficult for a 200 level intro to macro econ class. Even on exam days we have to take notes for the first 20 minutes before the exam

This professor is from either Korea, China, or Japan. He has been here over 20 years and still speaks VERY poor English. He mumbles while teaches, and doesn't explain things well. He also doesn't seem to like to help students with problems. I went to his office for help one day and he said I didn't understand because I must not be paying attention. Be prepared to take lots of notes, and to keep yourself amused, because he won't do it for you with his lecture.
