Mr. Basham is one of the nicest guys that I think I've met at WKU. Its really obvious that he cares about his students, and he is really easy to talk to if you need help with anything. His class is set up to be stress free (he even says this himself). There is hardly any outside work involved for this class. You have to write 3 one page papers throughout the semester, which is easy. You also have to read Freakonomics, which you only have to read a chapter every other week for the first half of the class. I took the class as a sophomore, its usually a freshman course, and still thought it was helpful. The discussions we had in class were so interesting I actually looked forward to going to class. If you want an easy A and want to talk about some cool topics, then take this class with Basham.

As a first semester freshman i really enjoyed corts class. Attendance is a grade but i honestly enjoyed being there. Open discussions over interesting topics. We read freakonomics and had two question short essay quizzes every other week. you could get by with sparknotes. he'd also occasionally assign a short reading and there would be a quiz. Had one library assignment that actually was a great grade booster. Completion was a 100%. Three papers are due over the semester all being 2-3 pages.Easy class as long as you attend. Highly recommended. Iv'e heard how boring Unv Exp can be, if your going to take it. Take Cort

Prof Basham is one of the best teachers that I have this semester. He is passionate about what he teaches and he loves to work with students. His classes are broken up into different styles: short lectures, slides, videos, and short readings. He encourages class disscussion and always values your opinion. Short essay quizes are given over assigned readings (usually around 30 pages or less) and make up the majority of your grades. Two library assignments are given over the semester (fairly easy) and count as 17% of your grade. If given the chance I would definately take Pro. Basham for another class. Two thumbs up!

This class was extremely interesting. Cort is a great teacher and makes class enjoyable. He gets you to think outside the box and his classes are all discussion-based. Hardly ever any notes, no tests, and I think we had maybe one or two quizzes all semester. He is more than willing to help his students and I highly recommend taking him.

Mr. Basham is an excellent teacher and he makes this course very interesting and he opens your mind to different concepts about economics and why people do the things we do. His class is really easy but when you leave that class you're definately left thinking about the discussiont that day. If taken seriously you will definately pass with flying colors and also get a lot out of the class.

He just wants you to answer your oppion on the tests. You read from a book of his choice and write a book report about the chapters you read. very very easy.

This guy is a pretty good teacher. The grade you get in the class will depend on how well you write the essays he assigns for hw. as far as i can tell it's not a huge deal to miss class occasionally but make sure you don't miss on the quiz days.

Mr. Basham was a great teacher. He has many ideas that are relevant to college students and loves to discuss them. We read Fast Food Nation which was an ok book, but kind of boring, and I did not see why it was relevant. His quizes are easy, and you write a one page double spaced paper maybe once every two weeks. So not a lot of work involved at all.

By far the most easy course at WKU. Courtney is a wonderful teacher and you should take him if at all possible. The class is really easy and there is not a lot to it. Although there is no final, there is a five-page paper that's due at the end of the semester. Over the course of the semester, you read a book he chooses and the paper topic is from that. If you can share a textbook with someone, do it. You don't use it much and the reading assignments aren't long when you do.

Basham's class is pretty simple...you show up to class, you join in on class participation and you get a good grade. There's no final, he wants you to be prepared for your others...but there are four small quizzes you do have to take. He gives you fair warning though, and sometimes...if you get him talking long enough, he let you takethe quiz home and fill out. There is a five page paper at the end of the semester...which is pretty silly. It suppose to help you learn how to write a research paper. There are three books requried for his class; Nickle and Dimed, Foundations and the course catalouge. You do need to have five campus events...but you have to do taht in every UC class. But if you give blood, you dont have to write about it! Take him, its worth your time...

I liked this class b/c it was an easy A but we had to read a whole book and write a 5 page paper about it. There are no tests, just four small quizzes and you have to go to some campus events. Basham is a cool guy and relates to you but it frusterated me b/c he can talk forever and let us out of class late sometimes!

Courtney was very open to discusions during class as directed by the students. His class was very easy, but it did require a 5-6 page paper due near the end and a presentation. That is basically the only thing close to difficult that you do in the class. There are no tests, except the library test online which you can retake as many times as you need to. There is no final. You just show up and you'll do fine!

Cortney is a wonderful teacher. He is young and fun and is able to relate to his students well. The class is so easy. Honestly, you would have to try pretty hard not to get an A. Cortney is easy to work with and is very understanding. I enjoyed this class a lot and found it helpful in the high-school to college transition. I would definitely recommend taking Cortney's class.

Cortney is one of those prof's that you can look at as a friend. One day we were supposed to have an assignment and he helped us study for a class that we all had in an hour. He is a really nice guy and pretty much lets you do whatever. You don't have to do much work at all and there aren't any tests or finals. He's a great guy and you should take him.
