Joe Cangemi is an awesome guy. He doesn’t tk down to you, is very encouraging and validating. The class is mainly him talking about life skills and how to succeed in the real world and work place. The tests are easy as long as you study. Which, he lets everyone send him questions and he uses those to make his tests. So, someone in the class should put everyone on a GroupMe and share their questions and answers they submitted and you can easily get an A. Also, he gives you 7 points on top of your total test score for sending in questions. I 100% recommmend this class. Joe is awesome, he takes attendance so just show up. Don’t listen to any of the negative people on here either, they have to be horrible students to say Joe isn’t a great teacher. He gives you every opportunity to get an A.

I loved this class. I wish I took it during my last semester before graduation. The things you learn in his class will help you in your professional life forever. I loved how he kept it real and did not sugarcoat anything. He is a good teacher but sometimes he did ramble on about hisself .

Dr. Cangemi is awesome. In this class, we all made up the questions for our tests and were even allowed to make a studied guide of them. This made it fairly easy to make good grades on the tests!

Dr. C is a great teacher. He is older and he is quite intellectual. He would go out of his way to help you in any situation. He is always giving examples of people and their situations and advise that he would give them. It was a night class but I did not dread going because he was fun and interesting.
As a class we made up the questions for the tests...so just appoint one classmate to have everyone email their questions to and then print them out and study them, they are all multiple choice and many are repetative. You get credit for developing these questions and he does not care that you "share" your questions with the class.

easiest A ive ever gotten. he allows the students to submit questions for the exam (this is part of your grade, not extra... his syllabus is a little confusing in this area). one of the students set up an email account and we all sent a copy of our questions there, then he complied them and sent a mass email of the questions back to everyone who had participated. You have every single question for every single exam... there is no reason why you shouldn't pass with flying colors. on a lesser note, dr cangemi can be rather boring at times, and he can be somewhat arrogant too... but all in all a really great guy!

Okay, so let's face it...this class was a joke. Students made up the tests, so you think they're going to be simple, but in the end you realize with so many people writing questions for the test is crazy, we screw ourselves. The first couple of days, you think wow, he's a motivational speaker and you really enjoy it, but it's not too long before his stories become repetitive and mind numbing and you'd swear he makes things up. Count how many times he says "etc." if you get bored...it can be entertaining, but the thing that really spoiled this class for me is how bluntly and obviously he had his favorities (men...see for yourself if you take him). He's very anal and if anyone is a Q1, it he, himself. Have fun and enjoy...if you can put up with it.

This class should be called senior seminar because the only thing that had to do with sales was the textbook, "Dimensional Selling." Although a nice guy, he is VERY ambiguous about grades. Things he calls, "extra credit" really aren't they are mandatory points for your grade. He has so many stories, but really NOTHING to do with sales. If you want any knowledge about sales just read Dimensional Selling. The other texts are useless except for an exiting class into 'the real world.' He never gets to know anyone's name, it just isn't the class it could be. Don't go in there with great expectations, they won't get met. Also, don't go talk to him about final grades unless you have gone to see him in the past, he won't know you nor will he do anything about your grade.

Cangemi is the best teacher I have ever had or ever will have. Take his class, everyone! His class is valuable to your life and your future within the working world. He has uncounted years of business experience and this class has nothing to do with sales behavior or psychology! He teaches you what the business world is really like and give you great advice to follow when getting a job right out of college. With his advice, I'm sure I will get a job right out of school! His tests, however, are another story! Everyone in the class must make up 15 questions a week before the test, and your test will be on these questions! So, one person in teh class must collect everyones questions (an extra set) and take them to Kinko's to make a packet up. Once this is done, everyone from class can go to Kinko's and pick up the packet to study from. Without one person in class doing this, everyone will fail! So, remember that when taking the great class!

Dr. Cangemi is the best professor I have had thus far, and I'm a first semester senior. He is one of the few profs I have had that allows open discussion to lead the classroom. He is funny and willing to work with you on any problem. He also has thirty + years of experience in today's business world and brings in a lot of guest speakers to answer your career questions. TAKE THE CLASS!

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!! He is absolutly horrible. He's lazy and makes the students write the tests. Which, by the way, makes the test difficult to understand because each question is written by a different person. The class itself isn't that difficult, but HE is almost too much to handle. He 's sexist, whenever I, or any other woman, said anything, he would undermine and condesend us. But when one of the three men in the class said something he would always give them kudos. He even made very insensitive remarks about a woman who was date raped about how "some cases" are really just women who are blowing things out of proportion. As far as testing it's easy, the only reason I got a B is because he said that writing the test questions was for extra credit when in reality it was part of your grade.

This was an overall easy psy class. Be sure to turn in questions for the tests. Students will organize the questions and you can get copies of everyone's questions. He is a good teacher and really fair.

Dr. Cangemi is a easy teacher. If you are going into sales or have any interest in them I would recommend this class. He does lecture all of class but we get out early every class and he tries to bring in as many speaks as her can to make the class interesting and helpful. His tests are so simple. It consists of 100 multiple choice but the thing is you make up the questions. Everyone in the class gets extra points for making up questions and turning them in and then he takes those questions and puts them on the test. My class all brought an extra copy of our questions and gave them to one person and they took them to kinkos so everyone could have a copy so really if you go get them and read over them then you will be sure to make an A.

One of the greatest teachers at Western. He's more of a motivational speaker! Students get to make up the tests on their own-so it's really easy.
