This course has a lot of information. Mr Hollis teaches it well but if you're not going to study then it's not time to take this class. Ask questions if you don't understand. He'll clear it right up. Also is tests have 3 parts. Essay, Multiple choice, and oral. He calls you into the hallway and asks you questions as he looks into the classroom window to make sure no one is cheating.

Mr. Hollis was humorous and able to apply the ideas of this course to our everyday lives.

I took this as an online course. He takes forever to grade anything. Sometimes up to 2 weeks! His tests are ridiculously hard (and that's with an open book!) If you email him about something, then he usually has a comment that shows how stupid he thinks you are. One quiz he gave counted an answer wrong that was right, this was brought to his attention, he said he'd go back and correct this for anyone who actually got it right, but never did. This was brought to his attention, but he swears he gave us our points...funny how that quiz grade is still the same as when we took it....Anyway, do NOT take him...you will regret it!!!

Mr. Hollis is a great teacher...and the class is very interesting...his tests were EASY! If you just pay attention in class every day and then when its time to take the test all you really need to do is just look over your notes..you dont have to kill yourself studying for his tests...IN MY OPINION! Great teacher....take him if you need this class!

Read the chapter and do the quizzes on Page-Out for the chapters you are on. Mr. Hollis is really laid back. Questions on tests kind of catch you off guard. There aren't any really good reviews, but if you read and do the practice tests that Santrock offers on the CD and Website you will do fine. Double check your grades!!!

Mr. Hollis seems like a very nice guy, however, I do not enjoy his class whatsoever. His teaching style is dry, and he does not believe in letting you out even 10 seconds early. He does depend on "church people" to keep time, which is ironic, because it is these "church people" who run the clock up ten minutes fast before he shows up, just so we can get out early. His notes are not even helpfull, because he does not even cover half of what you are expected to know for the test. It is a straight lecture for 1 hr. and 15 minutes. with chicken scratch to decifer from the board. His tests are extremely hard, and getting a perfect score is completley unattainable. He drags into class late everytime, and is unprepared 90 % of the time. I will say this, though....he is a snappy dresser.

I don't really like his teaching style. Also he is unprepared for class alot of times. But if you work hard and come to class you will pass with a good grade. Tests a kinda hard...so study.

Mr. Hollis is a great teacher. Not only did I take him for Psy 100, but also 199. I am a psychology major (will be graduating soon) and I can honestly say that I learned more in those two classes (which are the only two he teaches) than I have in any of the others. I would take Mr. Hollis for every Psy class if he taught them. I highly recommend him to those who are interested in Psychology for a major or minor. Also, if you keep an A in his class you can be exempt from taking the final.

Tests are very tricky!!!!!!! Normally fifty questions M/C. Quizes on the internet. Mr.Hollis is okay, but I did not enjoy this class very much. I wasn't one of his "Church People time keepers".This is a strange concept that he has. It consists of the theory that only people who go to church are honest enough to remind him when it's time for class to be over????
I don't recomend Psy 199

This class was only difficult because Mr. Hollis was ALWAYS late and then tried to cram everything in. His tests were also hard because he only went over half of it. I would NEVER take him again!!!
