Let's just say that Greenwalt needs to quit teaching college students and go teach at an elementary school. This class is generally ridiculous, but she added a little "flare" with her constant babying. If you want to feel like you're in middle school again, take this class.

Oh where to start. Let's see... this teacher (i'd rather not type her name, i do not have that much respect for her) has anger management problems, she's has gotten smart with students in class when it was uncalled for. She likes to treat her students as if they were kindergarteners.
I have always had difficulty with reading tests, every since i was little: i'm a slow reader, and as a result made a 15 on my ACT reading section. This teacher discouraged me and my fellow students from taking the accuplacer test that would exempt us from the class at the beginning of the term by saying that if you did poorly on your ACT Reading test that you would be "wasting your time" taking this test.
While sitting in this teachers' class i often wanted to beat my head against my desk or even the wall because of sheer boredom: i felt like i was "wasting" my time just being in that class. I did not learn anything new from this class and felt insulted not only by the redundany of the material covered but by the teachers' constant patronizing of me and my fellow students.
I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend taking the accuplacer test at the beginning of the term, hopefully it will help clarify whether you need this class or not.
By the way I made a 15 on my ACT reading, but I made a 100 percent on my midterm exam for this class.
Just another fact on why the ACT test is bullshit.

There is alot of homework, but she is consantly bringing in fun things for you to do each class, like a speaker, taking field trips, sometimes a movie, ect! She is a real sweetheart and loves to make class fun, overall I really miss her, if you take her you will make a life long friendship. One word of advice, Sit in the front of the room so you wont be distracted.

OH NO!!! I felt like she babied everyone because she considers talked to us like children and made us learn vocabulary words.......BAD COLLEGE COURSE!!!!!!!! The material was cake....but there was so much busy work it was NOT fun. If you do the homework (which there is a ton) and study the vocab you'll do good. But honestly.....it's pointless and we all know everyone took it involuntarily.MUST HAVE BOOK!

This class was easy, but the grade heavily relies on the computer test that you take at the end of the semster.

If you get a chance to take this course, jump off a cliff. This was a horrible experience. She is very technical with everything she does, for example on the true/false portion of an exam, if you don't write True of False it's wrong. No abbreviations or anything like that! She thinks that for every class period you should spend 6 hours out of class doing homework, it's crazy. If you even whisper something to the person beside of you she calls you out on it immediately. When I signed up for this class I would have never imagined it being a very expensive babysitting session. DO NOT TAKE!!!!!!
