I loved this class. IF you ever have a problem she understands. She is very helpful. If you feel your having a problem with the test she will explain why she grades the way she did. She even tells the questions that will be on the test as you are writing the note.

This class was difficult because of the teacher. She expected everyone to know as much as she does about geography. The notes aren't very helpful because it's all geography language. She doesn't make it very easy to understand. The test are hard!!!!! If you have to take this class don't take her.<HR>Correction: 10/30/2000
"<I>I would just like to set the record straight. Miss Strickland is a very intelligent teacher and takes her job seriously. If you had so much trouble how did you get a B? I feel that this class was taught in a very good manner, the exams are structured around the notes. The notes are in easy to understand terms.</I>"

Miss Strickland, what a wonderful person if you get to know her... Very easy to talk to and willing to help a student in any academic matter. There is not anything bad I can say, so I will quit typing. Excellent class, excellent instructor.

I really enjoyed the class with her. Her exams have always followed the notes, and I appreciate the effort she makes to help people understand the material both in and out of class.

About your standard intro course. The professor relies pretty heavily on overhead notes, and the tests come pretty much straight from the notes and book. Just Xerox the notes from a friend who was in class the night before the test, and you're good. Economics and history majors might want to take her course for a laugh now and then - she has some rather amusing revisionist views on the global economy and world history.

Although my grade was respectable, I felt that the tests were NEVER consistent with course material covered in class. Felt like I was back in high school again!

Ms. Strickland is an excellent teacher. Some students have said the material is lenghty and difficult to understand, but if you read in the book and take good notes (from the overhead) you will fair well with the class. I would suggest any student take Ms. Strickland for this course. Also, the tests are preceeded by a review sheet and students can ask questions before the exam. Ms. Strickland is almost always available for discussion of materials or tests.

Ridiculous class... don't waste your time here! The material on tests was not always consistent with notes. Grading was not consistent either. I know a bunch of people who had the same problem passing the course as I did!
