Overall it was a good class. It got boring at times, but I really learned a lot about American parties and Dr. Lasley is very understanding and helpful. The final was very hard, but the other tests were straight from his lectures. While attendance isn't mandatory, if you don't go you are screwed. Participation in class and on blackboard (the net) goes a LONG way in bumping you up. Don't take the class unless you are interested in the topic.
