Dr. Phillips was a wonderful teacher, from my point of view. I am an independent learner, and it was very easy to study for his tests. All you do in his class is take lecture notes every day, and sometimes watch movies. There are 2 tests and a final, all set up the same way, multiple choice and essay. He tells you the main topic for the essays, and gives a study guide for each test. If you cannot pay attention taking notes, this class would be horrible for you...but i liked it a lot; Phillips has dry humor that brings entertainment to history. I recommend his class.
