Difficult tests. Attendance is not required, but many of the test questions came from the in-class lectures.

The classes are pretty boring, and since he does not require attendance it is way to easy to skip. Unfortunately, he takes test questions from random things he says in class. His tests are super hard, but if you have last year's tests most of the questions are repeated.

He makes the information easy to understand, and he's clearly very knowledgable on the subject. I benefited greatly from his extra credit- you have to go to class to receive it. His tests are super-hard, though. I figured they would be all right since I listened in class... but NO... pay attention to everything- b/c he will include very detailed and random information you would never expect to be on the test. Overall, an effective professor that I would recommend.

I classified the class as difficult because I'm not a government person and couldn't really wrap my brain around it. There were people in my class who did well so I assume something clicked with them! Take notes but don't neglect your reading because he also pulls questions from them. He says that he changes the tests every semester but I know of some people who studied his past tests from the files and did well. Come to class because sometimes he'll do some in class EASY extra credit that you can make up. Its hard to stay awake, but be strong, its required!

Very knowledgable in the subject matter. His voice is very monatone, which has put more then a few people asleep before. His test can be difficult as their is a lot of information to study for. I highly recommend attending class and reading the book, questions from the test come from both notes and lecture.

I liked this course. You have to be in class and read the text, but if you can do that, you're set. Plus, Dr. Parker's cool and seeing and hearing him reminds you of Robert E. Lee or something. All said, take the class.

Don't let him fool you into thinking that he is going to be a Hard***. At first, he wants to come off like that to scare people out of his class. There is a lot of info to learn but he explains things very well so if you take good notes you should be ok.

The only thing about this class that is really tough is the speed at which he gives you notes. He goes too fast sometimes and it gets hard to keep up. I should have done better in this class but i didn't try very hard. The best thing to do, that i have found is to take down the notes and then later fill them in with things from the book. Good luck!

This is by far the worst teacher in the history of Western Ky. His class is so boring that I rather get hit by a Mack truck or have a baloon stuck up my penis hole and inflated. Everyone in the class hated his teaching style and his tests are extremly hard. The only people who liked him are political science losers. If you don't want to have any life and have to read the entire book every night just so you get a B then have fun and take this class!
