Additional Comments |
Stats is a pain in the butt. I hate stats. I'd rather die. But Dr. Myers makes a somewhat painful class rather fun.
You're going to take quite a few notes. Some of them are confusing. Fear not, they are on PowerPoint slides and he posts them to his website for your convenience.
His lectures are more interesting than stats lectures should be. At heart, he's still a college kid and his personality shows it. He's got a great sense of humor and presents the info in plain English. He cracks jokes and has a good time, and is more than willing to explain things over and over until everyone understands.
His test are hard. I call them 'tricky,' he calls them 'precise.' They're all multiple choice, and you're going to have to think. You get a crib sheet that you can use... you can write anything on it that you want, front and back. But if you don't study, and/or don't understand the info, it won't help that much.
Attendance is not mandatory, but if you're looking for a fun class and you want an edge in learning the stuff, go.
