Dr. Stewart is an excellent instructor, but you must be prepared to work in her class. There is a lot of reading involved and at this point, if you are taking this class, you are either a major or minor in Spanish and so you should expect to have to work hard to get a decent grade. You read different works from different authors in Spain and learn some history as well. Overall, if you are enrolled in this class around the time you take SPAN 371 - History and Culture of Spain, you should be learning a lot of the same things.. So, be prepared to work and learn about the authors that you are reading and the time periods they wrote because that is relevant to the material and you will be tested over it.
