Hugh is a very sarcastic teacher and he says from day one that he doesn't care if you come or not. There are an insane amount of notes to take, so missing a day (although I did often) means you've got some catching up to do. He does show movies every once in a while, and will give small quizzes to "bolster" your grade, but I don't think they really do anything. He knows TONS about history, but loves to talk about Russia. We pretty much only covered up to WW2. The content on the tests is pretty widespread, so be ready to study. If you get the chance to take someone else, do so. But it's not so bad you want to kill yourself.
