This is a great class, and there's no reason why everyone shouldn't get an A in this class. All you do is go to class, be a part of discussion(which you probably will enjoy), and do 3 essays. There are some journals, too. It's a great class.

Ferrah is such a great teacher. This is a discussion based class, so everyone has to talk or you could get marked off on your grade. You need the book, and you need to get the supplement reader(you can get it at kinkos). There are no tests, just essays, and journal entries, they are both super easy. At the end of the semester you have to do either a Zine or volunteer somewhere. This class is so much fun, and really interresting, i have learned so much from this class!!

Farrah is a very nice and approachable teacher. She is very laid back and treats everyone with respect. I was surprised when she told our class that there wouldn't be a final exam, just a final essay and project. If you like to speak up in class and let your opinions known, take her and she'll love you. However, if you're like me and the thought of speaking in class makes you want to vomit, I wouldn't sign up for the class. You do learn alot in this class, and see things from different points of view.

Farriah is a good teacher, she assigns alot of work, but what you get out of the class is what matters. You will have to write a few papers, but in the end you come out of the class with a feeling that you are proud to be a woman. Let me just say that the reading can suck, but this class will not turn you into a fem-nazi, unless that is the road that you want to go down.

Farrah is marvelous and as far as I know the only person who teaches Intro, so you luck out. Farrah is a great professor, I wish there were more like her. There are no tests in the class. None. There are a few quizzes over 2 novels that you have to read and she will give the class quizzes if people don't talk and participate so it is imperative that you read the material. For every class period there will be some articles to have read but they are all, for the most part, interesting and stimulating. You cover many topics, and no, it is not a man-bashing course. Males are more than welcome in the class and it is very interesting to get a male perspective on a lot of the issues. The grade components include attendance, journals, participation, essays (there are three), and a Zine (a self-published magazine for the final project). Farrah is extremely open-minded and facilitates discussion well, but as I said, reading and opinions are imperative for this class because it is an entirely discussion-based course. I hope you are blessed with a more talkative class than I was because she gets annoyed, rightfully so, when the class just stares at the floor as the minutes tick away. I highly reccommend this class - it is a real eye-opener and Farrah is wonderful!

This class is interesting.
You have to read a lot and show up to class but overall it is really not bad at all.
Pretty easy really. And better if you talk in class and share your opinions.

She is a good teacher and I learned alot from her. There is alot of reading and a few essays. She makes you do a journal everyother week that can be a pain, but the final project is fun.

Farrah is an awesome teacher...if you have an open mind and are not up to criticizing feminist beliefs. she is very intelligent and if you listen, she will open your eyes to many things you never noticed before. there are no tests, a lot of interesting reading, some events you must attend, not much note taking, a couple of quizzes...pretty damn easy and fun.

This class is great! Farrah is the only one who teaches Intro, so if you take it, you'll have to take it with her. But, her class is really easy. There's no tests at all and no final. There are a few quizzes every now and then over the reading, four 3-5 page essays, a 2 page journal due every two weeks, two 1 page event resposes, and a final project. The entire class is based on discussion, and since there are no tests, you never need to take notes or anything. Just make sure you keep up on the reading, and you should be fine!
