THIS CLASS IS SIMPLE.
Dobson, unfortunatly, isnt teaching anymore (i dont think) because the class was a joke.
Since I am a Math major and CS230 was required he was the perfect teacher to have.
test were simple AND open note/book
he practically wrote the programs for you
if he IS back teaching, TAKE HIM

He came to class one day drunk or high or something talking about all his problems. In fact it was last Tuesday. Really freaky. Saying he had pressure and stuff like this. Kind of Scarey. It was funny. Cause he was wasted and acting like an IDIOT! But when he is sober he's cool and REALLY EASY too. Like a highschool teacher who tries to give you an A anwway he can. He grades the easiest (when he isnt 3 sheets to the wind).

Blake Dobson is a nice guy, an easy teacher, and will bend over backwards to help you, even letting you turn in assignments that are very late. His class was easy and informative to a person not knowing a lot about computers. A good class to learn and get an A if you put in any effort at all*****BUT***** he once didn't even show up to class, and once came to class completely intoxicated. After which he was removed from the class and a new teacher was assigned to our class. I think this man means well, but has a lot of stress in his life and is a ticking time bomb. Take his class at your own risk.

You only have two tests in this class a Mid-term and a Final. They are both open book, open note and you can use all the programs you have previously written. Therefore the tests are pretty easy. Blake is an easy going guy and a good teacher. He will help you out on anything you need to know.

If you know how to use Microsoft Word and the basics of Office then you will have it made. He's kinda weird but a good teacher, nice guy and easy on pretty much everything.

Very easy class, very shifty guy. Obviosly on drugs and borderline suicidal. I wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley if he had a weapon. If he didn't have a weapon I wouldn't be scared, but he seems like the switchblade type of guy.

If you're looking for an easy A, take this class with Dobson. If you're looking to actually learn something, take it from Dr. Crenshaw. He doesn't seem to understand the course material and has a bad habit of reading the text *verbatim* in class. More often than not, it was the motivated students that ended up answering difficult questions, rather than the professor himself. That being said he gave no tests and did not penalize late homework (you could actually turn in your programs the monday *after* the semester was over). The problem is that if you don't grasp this material, you're going to have a hard time understanding some concepts in later classes.

Mr. Dobson is an easy teacher, but you still learn a lot about computers. His class was low stress and I got a lot from it.

This class is SO easy. Dobson is great. You only need to come to class for the maybe ten labs you have (and most of the time you can just space off or play on the internet). He gave us the questions and the answers to the one test and to the final that we had. Take him, he is EASY.

This class is very easy and he gives you lots of time to turn in make-up assignments, especially labs. There were two tests, a mid-term and a final. If you have to take computer science, I highly recommend you take him.
