June Rose Garrott is a wonderful and caring individual and perhaps if my fellow students had more respect they would have gotten it. I think it's a shame the way that this LADY has been talked about. How would you feel if someone talked about your grandma this way?

One thing to say DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! Yes, she is an old lady and most old people are really sweet well, this one is not!!!! If you have to take her i feel sorry for you. But please do not take this class at all..............You will do poor in her class....

Mrs. Garrott is a nice person, but a horrible teacher. If you dont know how to do a critique, synthesis, or summary, dont expect her to teach you, you have to learn it on your own. There's a research paper that ALL english 300 students have to do, and even though mrs. garrott breaks the process down into parts, she still gives you no feedback on how the paper actually is. she grades by giving checks, check minus, and check plus. i seriously dont know what kind of grade i have in there because the wack grading system she uses. And your grade is mainly based on the research paper, so if you fail that, you fail her class.

OVERALL- I WOULDNT TAKE HER...you dont do any work, but you also dont learn anything, and she doesnt help you to understand crap.

Although this will probably be one of the easiest course you take this lady really sucks. She is about 75 years old and i think it is time that she throws in the towel. She teaches you absolutely nothing during class and loves the new york times newspaper. this is one of the most pointless classes i have ever taken (besided eng 100). Try to avoid her if u can.

Ms garrot is a good teacher. she is scatterbrained, but if you attend class and put forth a good effort you will be OK.

Well, where do I not start with Dr. Garrott. She was not the kind of teacher I was expecting from the beginning of the course. She doesn't give any quizzes during the semester. You will kind of discuss each short story, play, or poem that you read but not in detail. There is very little notes required. We had discussions a lot in the course and lots of handouts. We read a novel in the class too. You have a total of 3 exams, including the final, that is just basically essays. You are graded more heavily on grammar and punctuation that on what you actually write. Do not take the course on MWF because you are given limited time to write, as compared to TR classes. I don't recommend her as a teacher of this subject, but if you have already taken her or are forced to have her, then be prepared to go to the Writing Center a lot. You will have to do a research paper for her class and you must know how to cite sources and stuff like that. It is difficult to make an "A" in the course, but it is possible. Good luck!!

This teacher is very ditzy. she cares nothing about the students and could care less if you are sick or not. she picks her favorites. if you play sports, take her. if not, you are nothing

This teacher seemed alright at first. However, if she likes you, you don't have to come to class and don't get counted off for it. She is very unfair. She grades harder than any other teacher I have ever had. I would not recommend this class to anyone.

She is the worse teacher put on this earth. Please do not take her. I have nver gotten a C in any English class i have ever taken. However Mrs. Garrot seems to think that no one in our class should have passed English 100. She is absolutely dreadful.. PLEASE DONT TAKE HER

She tends to babble in class after the first five minutes there's no reason to stay. You write a couple of papers in class which she expects to be college level in a matter of 30 or 40 mintues. The matterial you cover is most of the stories you read in High School. If you have the choice DON'T take her. You do journals and have one or two out of class papers to write as well. But save your time and take someone else.

Do not waste your time with Dr. Garrot. she does absolutely nothing with the class time, but she does expect you to be there every class. She constantly badgers you on whether or not you brought both of your books to class every period when in all actuality, you have no reason to have them in class at all. She doesn't explain any of the assignments very well and she is honestly the most boring individual i have ever met. One word comes to mind....DRY! Run the opposite direction!!!!
