Yvonne is an amazingly talented lady, though she can be a little spacey at times. She really just wants you to show up, try, and take interest in the class. It seems like she looks for overall improvement and effort, so try your best and you'll do great.

The class wan't that hard. The day before the test she tells you everything that will be on it. There is no use in buying the book, I never read mine.

Yvonne is a wonderful professor who knows her stuff and makes the class interesting and fun. She grades on your progress throughout the class as opposed to individual graded on paintings or drawings. Then she has a mid-term and final critique and wil grade you on those. I would highly reccomend taking Yvonne, it will be one of the most helpfull, creative, and enjoyable classes you have ever had.

If you have any longing to be a good artist, Yvonne can bring the best out of you. She is really demanding, there is no way of getting through the class easy, but if you are doing this for your sake you will love it.

Yvonne is really a great teacher. She really has an inspiring passion for art and gives each student a good amount of individual attention. The work we did was challenging and freeing. I learned a lot and really enjoyed this course.

Yvonne is a great asset to the WKU art dept. In my opinion she is the best drawing teacher here. She tries to get to know each of her students, and grades on the basis of individual effort and leval of improvement during the course of the class. In 340+ she devotes at least 5 weeks to anatomy and the figure. There is alot of homework and outside of class assignments. The only grades are a midterm and final critque. If you want to learn to draw take one of Yvonne's classes, you will not be dissapointed.

Yvonne is an amazing teacher. She knows what she is talking about and she really helps her students improve their skills. I feel inspired in her class, which is something that few teachers can do. Her class is not an easy A, but it is a class worth taking. :)

Yvonne treats each of her students like they are real artists. The class could be beneficial for serious students or anyone else. Grades are mostly based on effort. She brings new freshness and energy to the art department.

In the art program nothing is basic. This class is starter class and she helps you to mold yourself. You have to let yourself draw and not get discourgaged by others. Attend class most of the time, there will be days you think you can afford to miss, don't miss group evaluations. She pushes you very hard but you will feel very rewarded at the end if you really want to draw.

Yvonne's class is in no way, shape or form, basic drawing. I expected some basic drawings, like shapes or animals or something. But no, the first day we go in and all this crap is set up to draw like birds, skulls, blankets, and eventually nude models. To me, that's not basic drawing. Anyway, she does a good job trying to help, but if you don't draw with her style, you won't pass. PERIOD.
