I found Dr. Ayres to be a great Professor and feel that I got a lot from his class because of his teaching methods. I have had personal and family serious illnesses during the course and Dr. Ayres was understanding and willing to let me make up any exam that I might have missed. He treats all students with respect and fairness. I would refer any student to his classes. He and Professors like him deserve to be recognized and congratulated for their hard work and committment to his stuudents and to the college. I intend to take other courses that are taught by him.

dr ayers is a horrible teacher who has no concern for anyone's opinion, only his is right. their is no book and he doesn't review for the test. you have to take notes from the lectures he rambles out, where must decipher fact from opinion and what he's going to test you on. very hard class and he is the only one who teaches it. i would go to the dean and request hiring someone else before taking him.

Richard Ayres requires no textbook and is very opinionated! His test are all multiple choice except for the final! He tells people that he doesn't give A's, well I don't think anyone expects a professor to give them an A, you have to earn it, but how can you earn an "A" when everything is based upon his opinion. Is he to judge? Also, his final is all essay, which was fine. You will take an overkill of notes that he has jotted down from somewhere. who knows where?
