Phillips has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor that may take awhile to get used to. He'll make smart-aleck remarks about whoever he's lectoring about and sometimes it's really funny. I thought it was a good class. I learned a lot of history that I'm glad I know now, but the exams were pretty stressful because they were worth so much of your grade. You definitely have to study, but other than that, you just sit in on the lectures and take a lot of notes.
