Additional Comments
This was one of the worst classes I ever took. It's not entirely the fault of the teacher (I stress not entirely). It's also that British literature is just wholly uninteresting and dull. I had a fairly easy time getting through short stories and epics, but when we got to poetry, it was over. Try reading medieval poetry without going to sleep (especially at 9 in the morning) and you my friend deserve the Nobel Prize. Professor Green did not make the subjects interesting in the least and mostly relied on having other students explain the subjects in a group, which is always a bad idea. She's supposed to teach us, not other students who don't know anything about the subject. She tried to make the class interesting by letting us watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail as an example of an Authorian legend, but treats like that were very few and fare in between (if not nearly non-existent). She's a nice person, don't get me wrong, but a piss-poor teacher. Oh, and she's a feminist - trust me, this will come up. She mentions it 200 times in the syllabus alone, so tread carefully with the sexist jokes fellas. To sum up: don't bother with this class, unless you enjoy pain and absolute boredom.
