Mr. Adams is a very nice man, and he is extremely passionate about journalism. Although I found his course to be hard, I would recommend him for any journalism student because he knows what he is talking about. I learned alot in this course.

Mr. A is probably the nicest professor I've had in 3 semesters. He'll let you turn anything in late, provided you have a good reason, and is just a really understanding guy.
I think we had 3 tests over the semester, and if you just read the chapters that you'll be tested over, you'll have no problem. His lectures are really boring, but he basically just reads from the text anyway.
I don't remember any attendance policy, but it seemed like people missed the class pretty often.
You have to write at least 9 stories for the class, but all 202 professors will require that. Adams is pretty tough on grading those, but the tests will bring you up.
Attending the lectures series sucks, but a lot of them will get cancelled and it ends way before the semester does, so once you get your 5 stories from that, you're done.
Boring class, but a cool prof. If you need 202, take Adams.

Mr. A can be a little boring at times, but you cannot complain about the workload. He is good at explaining things, and has great stories to tell. You have to write probably about 10 stories. He didnt grade my stuff to difficult but I also got an A on everything. I would reccomend him.

Mr. A is a cool professor who really cares about your grade in his class. He lectures almost every day, but you don't have to take notes. He's the advisor of the College Heights Herald, so he knows what he's talking about. His lectures are pretty boring but you can easily get him off talking about something totally unrelated with little or no effort. The guest speakers at the beginning of the semester really suck, but it's best just to go ahead and finish them so it doesn't hurt your grade. There's like 8 and you have to do 6. Also, he repeats a lot of the same material on different tests, especially newspaper terms and the stylebook. His little quizzes are usually tossed out at random and cover current events, but are only worth about 10 points each. The final project at the end of the year is a killer to be sure, but he is very flexible on the due dates. Just email him and explain that you want to turn it in later and he always understands. He's just old and nice and is easily swayed. This class is a nice building block for those who wish to write for the Herald and a good way to get in good with the advisor. RECOMMEND!

Mr.Adams is a cool guy after a few weeks. He's monotone so you'll probably fall asleep more than once. Watch the news and read the paper daily b/c you get a current events quiz every week. There are daily assignments but not that much reading. You also have to attend a speaker every monday and then write a story on it. It's an easy class except you have to be ready to work and in order to pass the class you need to turn in everything. There are 3 exams, and a lot of quizzes. If you're in a some related journalism major its required so if you can try to take this class with someone else!

I loved Mr. Adams. He was the kind of teacher who really got to know his students and was always willing to help. He tends to ramble and sometimes his lectures get a bit boring, but it was always easy to stop him and take the discussion down a different path. Be prepared to write a lot. News writing is not difficult but it's different from other types of writing but Mr. Adams is willing to help. He gives lots of opportunities for extra credit.

Don't be fooled by thinking this class will be easy because it's 200-level. This was a tougher class than I expected. However, I would definitely take Mr. Adams again. He was a great teacher, very friendly, and seemed to really care about his students' problems. Definitely study hard for the tests, and take advantage of every extra credit opportunity he offers.

This course involves a lot of writing and may take some of your free time as it requires some outside reporting for feature stories. But Mr. Adams is an understanding guy and he's been around the journalism dept. a long time and works with the student publication- therefore he is very knowledgable. If you're a jour major with any background in reporting or writing at all this class will not be difficult for you. The tests are not difficult IF you study. Make sure you read the chapters and pay attention to what is discussed in class. Both will show up on the exam.

Dr. Adams is a pretty laid- back guy, which is both good and bad. The class is not so formally structured, but then again, it is hard to understand what is important to learn and know.

This class is a lot of work. There are tons of assignments. If you don't like to write, then you shouldn't take this class. There aren't many notes, but the tests are still fairly difficult. Knowledge of current events is pretty important.

Mr. Adams is awesome. This class was easy, but still educational. As long as you can get past the voice you'll love this class.
