Additional Comments
The only part of this class I did not like was the tests. They are all essay, and timed. You have to write 4 short essays (about a paragraph) and 1 long essay (1-2 pages) in 50 minutes. The final is about 60 multiple choice questions and 1 long essay (not timed). On every test you will have several options for which essay questions you want to answer, so that helps some. But, the time limit makes it very stressfull. Some people prefer essays, but you will not get away with trying to BS your way through it. Other than that, it was a really fun class. Dr. Lemerise is very funny and very helpful. There is a project paper, but it is not bad. Start on it in the begining of the semester and you wont have any problem. She will look over it for you as much as you like and help you in any way she can. There is a review before each test, and if there is anything you don't understand she will explain it differently until you do. I recommend Dr. Lemerise if you can handle the essay tests. I had never had all essay tests before, but once you take the first one it gets easier because you will know what to expect. She also follows the book almost exactly, so if you take the time to read your book (which is very interesting, in my opinion) you shouldn't have any trouble getting a good grade.
