I took math 109 in the summer because i thought it would be a good idea to get it over with- boy was i wrong! He goes way too fast, and jumps from new topic to new topic before anyone can write down the notes. Dont get me wrong.. he is a very nice guy.. but is defanetly chalk happy, so if you dont like to take a million notes a day... dont take this teacher!!!

This guy goes way too fast, moving at a pace that I could definitley not keep up with! By the time I was trying to understand what the problem said, he was already erasing off the board. Homework was not graded, all grades were from quizzes and tests which made me not do homework which didn't help my grade.

Dr. Robinson is an excellent professor and extremely thorough. Even though you may not want to always write down all the proofs, it would be to your advantage to do so. His tests can be difficult, but then again Calc II is a rather daunting course. He's always willing to help if you have questions and he is an all around great guy. Take Dr. Robinson, you won't regret it!

Dr. Robinson is a very good teacher, even though some of his assignments can be difficult (such as Microworlds and Geometer Sketchpad). He explains everything in great detail, and if you are having trouble understanding something he will help you. I would recommend Dr. Robinson's class because he is very nice and a great teacher.

I really liked Mr. Robinson, although he lacked some people skills he was overall a nice guy and willing to help. I was borderline A/B and he boosted me to an A which really helped my GPA. I think he likes it if you go and talk to him if you're having any problems and he'll help. He gave quizzes to boost grades and he always gave a review before the test that was just like the test just different problems. Overall good teacher.

I took this class over the summer session, and I found that Dr. Robinson's expectations for his students are realistic. The class is not a piece of cake, but if you study the material daily, you should not have a problem doing well in the class. Discipline is the key here. Dr. Robinson tests over material that is discussed in the class, so the tests are not taken out of thin air as I have found in some math classes. Read the chapters as he discusses the material and you should do fine.

First of all... the C was my fault, I stopped doing the homework assignments that were not for credit and fell behind. Dr. Robinson is fairly good at explaining things, but has an annoying habit of running out of time, and then picking up at the exact same step he left off on in the example on the next class period. Examples are thourough and worked from a variety of approaches. Tests reflect material covered in class.

Dr. Robinson is a machine, many times i fell asleep in his class due to his monotone, boring voice. However, I learned more about 3-D functions than i ever would have from another teacher. He gives you a list of problems to study for the test and the test are these problems with the numbers changed. Everything considered, good teacher, take him.

Before this semester, Dr. Robinson had not previously taught this course (to the best of my knowledge). He had only taught advanced levels. His ratings for those classes are excellent. But he CAN NOT teach this course and the material needed. It is almost as if he is trying to "dumb down" everything. He can not relate it to the students in a necessary manner.
Until this class, I have always enjoyed math and excelled in it. Now, I dread math. Dr. Robinson does make himself available to students, but, as i said, can not relate to students very well.
Another thing that is important about this class and teacher is that it may begin to feel like an English class. He expects everything to be written in long, drawn out complete sentences and spelled correctly. He took points off of my test b/c I misspelled Fubinocci (I still don't know exactly how to spell it). If I had known that this was a spelling class, I would have studied more on that instead of the actual math content. Overall, I can't stand Dr. Robinson and would never recommend him for 211.

Dr. Robinson is an excellent math professor. If you study and do the homework you'll find his class is easy. There is quite a bit of notes but not to awful bad. He can get boring from time to time but overall he's a great teacher who is really interested in teaching the subject he is well prepared and ready to go at the beginning of every class and don't figure on getting out early any. It is a math class you have to be there to learn for the most part. The material can get confusing at times but he is willing to help in anyway possible. TAKE HIM IS GREAT AT TEACHING AND WILL HEP ANYWAY HE CAN.

Dr. Robinson is very helpful and will take as much time as you need to talk with you. He goes a little fast in class ( my hand usually hurts at the end), but if you know what he is talking about you don't have to write everything down. This class uses information from ALL your past math classes. I would recommend taking him if you can understand a lesson with no questions and at a very quick pace.
