I took this class a few semesters ago, but a friend of mine has her now, and it made me remember how bad I hated this class. She is the worst teacher I have ever had. She is very hateful and sarcastic. The things you go over in class aren't usually even on the test. It's a learn it yourself class. I found it hard to study for the tests because you had no idea what to expect. I'm not even sure why she's still teaching here. Don't take her if you don't have to.

DO NOT take this lady.. She is evil no matter what the first impression you get of her is.. Her tests are killer... there were 5 people out of like 120 that got a B or higher on her first three tests.. she doesn't teach well, and her tests are over material that she doesnt cover... Every Fri. there is either a quiz or an exam and they cover the whole chapter.. You take notes but mostly she babbles.. I dropped this class because it's amazing how ignorant one person can be.. I could have taught the class better.. do not take her.. take somebody else...anybody!!!!

This teacher is the hardest teacher that I have taken in my college career. She speaks to the class as if we are a bunch of elementary kids and she does not even lecture most of the time. All of the information on the tests are straight out of the book and you have to read a chapter, memorize it, and be able to explain the things out of it in about a week which is a lot for most people, including me. The average test grade in her class has been between a 45 and a 60 each test that we have taken, i think that says something about her teaching. DO NOT TAKE HER----NO MATTER WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What can I say, that hasn't been said. She is not a Dr. She is a student with an ego trip. She is an old student, she's probably 45 yrs old still trying to earn her degree. She has not learned the finer points of teaching, and perhaps bc she is taking dr. level classes she thinks this psychology class should be taught the same way. The first test we took, get this, the highest grade out of a 115 students was an 84. the avg was 48 the lowest was a 20 something. OK what does that saY? It says she sucks as a teacher.

Hillin is a very hard instructor. She moves very rapidly and you will have a test once a week. She gives you lecture notes, but she says her exams have nothing to do with the notes. This is a very hard and confusing class. I was a staight A student and then I joined her class and I failed two tests. Therfore, I had to withdraw. I would not reccomond this class to anyone,

Whatever you do, DO NOT TAKE HER!!!! everybody that evaluated her are speaking the truth. Also, she will not except your assignments if you walk even a minute late to her class. She needs to teach grade school because she doesn't know that we are mature college students!!

Professor Hillin does not belong in a classroom. She doesn't fully cover the material that is on her tests. Her attendence policy is ridiculous. If you are late she counts you absent. If you want to take this class don't take this professor.

I do not recommend this teacher. Every class she talks about irrelevant things that are not on the tests. Therefore, to prepare for the tests, you have to read the assigned chapters and learn everything on your own. I felt actually going to the class was a waste of time, yet attendance was required and would affect my grade. If attendance wasn't required, I would have still made the same grade in this class because she was no help at all.

professor hillin is not a nice lady as she may seem to be at the first impression. i had to withdraw from the class because i had only 15 minutes to go all the way across campus from another class to hers... so her rule is that when you are not there to the second (that means in your seat) that you are not there at all....so i had withdraw from the class because i was no more that 15-30 seconds late a few times and she lowered my grade so much that it would impossible and stupid for me to succeed in her class. dont take her!

i thought that this was a very hard class and that mrs. hillin was not a very good teacher. i felt that she didn't explain things well and the information on the tests was not was discussed in class. it is basically a self taught class and i do not suggest taking it if she is going to be the teacher.

At first I thought this class was going to be easy. I was way off!!! Mrs. Hillin is like a dictator. She will talk and talk and talk and if you try to ask a question she will keep on talking. She gives you a ton of notes. The tests are scantron but they are extremely difficult!! The notes and the study guide that she gives you is nothing like the questions on the test. In this class I have read my text book, studied the notes and did the study guides and have had an extremly had time just passing her tests. The good side to this is, yeah there is one, she gives a ton of extra credit. But it had to be perfect or you won't get the points. I don't reccomend anyone to take her class. She is very sarcastic and has a attitude.

She's a great teacher and really tries to help you understand the material. She has a great passion for psychology. She's gives many opportunities for extra credit. You use the textbook, but it's also a good idea to be in class because she gives notes on stuff that will be covered on the tests, but aren't always in the book.

This course was an interesting subject matter. Professor Hillin is a good lecturer. Her test though were very difficult. Studying for these exams were next to impossible unless you just hung on her every word.
