Dr. Sahi is a very good professor we need more like him at the Univeristy. Dr. Sahi breaks down the material so that you are able to understand it and apply it. His test are not tricky! Either you know the material or you don't.

Dr. Sahi is known for his research, not his teaching. He was a nice guy but just didn't know how to convey material to students that well. He gives you a chance to get 10 points EC by going to biology seminars, and drops lowest test grade (at least he did for our class). Grade is determined by 4 tests, no other assignments. He doesn't curve. He's old school and doesn't use powerpoints so you have to write down everything he says. Overall this is not an easy subject but Dr. Sahi makes it more bearable than most teachers would, he's a cool guy and funny too.

Dr. Sahi is a great professor. He's really nice and helpful, and cares about how well students in his class do. Anytime I had questions, he was happy to assist and he went out of his way to explain procedures.Lab manual is mandatory. The weekly quizzes were easy if you read the lab manual, and the midterm and final weren't very hard either if you study a little and just pay attention. I would definitely take another class he offered and recommend him to anyone considering taking one of his classes.

He seems to care about students. Sometimes his questions need thinking to come up with answers. He gives lots of examples. You have to work hard to get a good grade.

The reason I said the quantity of notes is few, is because if you really pay attention, he gives the same lecture at least 3 or 4 times. When I started this class I had respect for this teacher, but now I know better. He talks down to you and tries to make you doubt yourself even when you know you are right, or if you aren't very firm in what you say. He doesn't put the things he says he's going to put on the test. His study guides are totally useless. Over all, I and others have decided we will get more out of reading the text book and have more or less stopped going to class these last 2 or 3 weeks of class. He also likes to try and trick you on the tests, by having multiple correct answers. I guess this is to try and make up for the easiness of the course material.

the exams are basically over HIS notes, the books is used to just clear up whatever misunderstanding. he doesn't give back the exams but gives back the scantrons and goes over the exam, so copy them down on paper. the final was a basic copy and paste. you get to drop your lowest test score and make it up by taking the final. really not a bad class, but is a bit of a drool. and be sure to read the questions carefully, and he likes to use the a and b or a and c or c and b type choices!

Dr. Sahi is a really funny guy and is like no other biology professor I have taken. He is very smart and he truly does know the material. He can make you feel stupid when you ask questions, but he encourages you to ask them. His tests are well structured but you must study hard for each of them. He is a very humerous person and our class was constantly laughing at the comments that he made. I was a border line A going into the final, but obviously I lost it. The majority of his final is the new material and he claims that the old material will be very general, but some of the questions he asked were not too general in nature. I thought that the final was fairly tough. However, if you are a good student who is willing to work you will do fine in the class and you should be able to make an A or a B.

It is not the course material that makes this course hard but the professor. He acts like he wants to help and I truly think he does but the way that he lectures and the way that he tests are two different things. The test questions are made to be very tricky and his notes are not along the same lines. He lectures and goes on tangents where your head is spinning and then he will assign homework because you look confused. I will never take this teacher again for anything. I am going to survive it but that is all.

The course itself is not hard to deal with if you can attend class everyday. But the professor is what makes the class difficult. I would avoid him like an infectous disease. He likes to think he is helping you but in reality he will make you fell like your stupid asking a quesiton. And he is border line arrogent.

Dr. Sahi can be a jerk. In class, he'll fly through notes and we constantly have to ask him to slow down so we can copy the notes. Sometimes, when students ask questions, he makes them feel stupid and says that he already went over the topic. He finally started emailing an outline of the notes to us at the end of the semester, but I usually learn better from my own notes. He can be difficult to understand, and sometimes his notes and/or exam questions don't make sense the way he words them. Sometimes he'll put questions on the exam that you've never seen before in your life. If you had a choice, you should probably take someone else for Bio 220 (and 221) he's only worse in the lab

Of course this class isn't going to be an easy A, but Dr. sahi uses powerpoint presentations for his lectures and the tests come straight from his notes. His test questions are worded funny, and it is impossible to know what points he is going to focus on, but overall it isn't that hard.

I'll start by saying that I used to be a biology major until I took this class. Sahi is extremely hard to understand and pretty arrogant. When you ask questions in class, he treats you as if you were stupid and he picks the most specific and nit picky stuff for his tests. He moves extremely fast in class as he covers his pages and pages of notes. His language is really hard to get past and he writes like he talks. I would honestly try taking someone else if at all possible.

Dr. Sahi is a nice teacher, but is sometimes difficult to understand because of his Indian accent. He goes kind of quickly in class, and because you are trying to write everything down, and understand him, sometimes you miss important stuff. He is generally a fair teacher. His tests are mostly multiple choice and he likes to ask questions in which several of the answers are right, for example, is the answer A, B, C, D, A & B, C & D, or all of the above. A lot of his questions are like that. Overall he is okay, but not my favorite. I would take someone else if you can.

Dr. Sahi should have never gone into teaching because he doesn't like for students to bother him with questions. He seems sexist and makes students feel very stupid. I didn't learn anything from him. The only way I learned was by teaching myself. He also had a teaching assistant who made out the exams. However, the teaching assistant was hardly ever present during lecture. Therefore, the exams were not a good measure of what was being taught. The TA also graded many things incorrectly which caused my grade to go down. Dr. Sahi was often unattainable to discuss matters as these after lab. Avoid him at all costs!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Sahi is a good teacher, but often hard to understand. He expects you to pay attention and ask questions and gets frustrated if you don't. All notes are on the overhead and figures are taken from the book. It is almost pointless to read the book since the majority of test questions are exactly from the notes. Expect to take about 3-4 pages a day.

The class its self is kinda hard but Dr. Sahi is an excellent teacher especially for those of us that dont like biology. Everything he covers is in moderate detail. He simplifies everything and most of the time repeates it several times. There are a lot of notes everyday but they are in bullet form and not hard to copy. All of the tests are strictly from the notes you dont even need a book.

This class would not be so bad if it were taught by someone else. For some reason, this prof. really gets under my skin. Yes this class is very easy, but extremely boring. The test is an exact replica of the notes you take. Eventhough, there are a LOT of notes and it is fairly hard to remember everything. He gets pretty specific too. If you dont like coming to class, you can just get the notes off of someone else and still pass the tests. All in all, the class itself is easy, but the teacher makes it difficult to sit through.

Dr. Sahi is Indian with a very thick accent that is hard to get through in lucture and on his exams sometimes. However, he is very good at simplifying the major concepts that pertain to the class and goes through the more advanced stuff at a slow pace. There are 4 exams all 50 questions multiple choice and a cumulative final. The final is only required if you are not satisfied with your grade from the 4 semester exams. This class requires a lot of reading outside of class no matter who you take since it is impossible to cover every little detail in lecture. He offers review sheets the lecture before the exam.

Sahi is a very good teacher. He tries really hard to get his students to understand the concepts of biology. He will sometimes repeat himself many times just to get his point across. At first, I thought that his accent was hard to understand but after about a week, I was able to understand him fully. This course isn't very difficult. I highly suggest taking him, he is a good guy. He even gave us the option to skip the final, if we were satisfied with our grade going into it. So that helped a lot.

(I am currently in this class) Dr. Sahi is a nice man; however, he is not very clear when he speaks and his grammar in test formating is horrible! The tests are not impossible if you study.Making yourself go to class, however, may be harder than the class itself. I would recommend a MWF if available, because TR are killer-- he does talk the ENTIRE time and all you do is write notes at his pace of "Oh, I let you write for 30 seconds,ok!" His accent may also be hard to comprehend.

He is a pretty good teacher. He has a really thick accent which makes him hard to understand sometimes. You have to know everything from your notes on the tests because he will ask you the most specific questions. You don't have to take the final if you are happy with your grade, or you can take the final and he will drop your lowest grade. As a person he is kind of rude and treats you like you are stupid. He says "Is that clear to you?" 500 times a day. If I would have studied my notes more i would have gotten an A. Not a hard class.

This instructor is ok. He is not fair in his testing, though. Tests are weighted unevenly, thus, if one is weak in one area, then the possibility exists to perform poorly. All tests are the same format. This guy is Indian and has a very thick accent, making him hard to understand aurally and lexically.
