Fun class and lab! Mrs. Ryan is a great teacher and a nice lady. This class gives you a lot of a experience. Take this teacher if you can!

Very easy class, but make sure that you know the brand AND model numbers for the equipment, if you don't it will kill you.

There's probably a total of about 20 points extra credit on each test.

Lab is mandatory, lecture is not.

I didn't think the tests were so easy. BUT Mrs. Ryan is an AMAZING teacher. She cares SOO much about the students and you learn so much in this course through the hands on you get in the lab.

Dr. Ryan is a great teacher that knows her stuff. This wasn't really a class I was that interested in because it's not what I want to do in broadcasting. It was required however. The labs can be tedious but also fun. She can get kinda snappy with you but overall and very nice lady and great teacher.

Prof. Ryan is an incredible teacher. You can tell she enjoys helping students get hands on experience with the equipment. Half the lab times are reserved to produce your own commercials, which are stressful, but fun. Tests are VERY easy if you study any at all, and you can usually find someone who had her last year to give you old tests to study from. Most of the questions are the same, she just puts them in a different order.

Ms. Ryan is awesome. This class is definitely her forte. She's more of a producer than one with many technical skills, but she knows what is necessary to teach this course well. Plus, she cares more about students than any prof I've ever had. She'll fight for you big time.

Overall, an easy class. One of the few classes at Western that I've actually felt as though I've learned something that I can actually USE. She is very intelligent in this field and loves to answer questions. There is one big project that every student must produce alone and she can be kinda tough on those. Overall, recommended.

Jo-Anne's a great teacher. She made class fun so we all had a great time learning. I highly recommend her. It's an easy class if you just go and participate especially in the lab. Try to get as much 'hands on experience' during the lab because it will help out in the end. Have a good time making your final projects. That was my favorite part of the class. Just have fun with it!

Joanne is really cool, get on her good side in the labs.. dont ever miss a lab but miss lecture whenever you want. Just get old tests, their everywhere, they are exactly like the new ones.. dont bother reading or paying attention in lecture. Really a fun class in the labs, you can learn alot, b/c you can tell she knows what she's talking about.

This class was extremely demanding but very informative. It was very very time consuming. It has a two hour lab that doesn't even go toward your credit hours. The tests are extremely difficult if you don't have old ones from former students. It's possible to do well you just have to work super hard. Professor Ryan is great though...I loved her.

Make no mistake about it. This is a VERY grueling class, and Jo-Anne is VERY demanding. Still, she is very plesant to deal with. She explains everything and, since the class is hands-on, she will show you, in a friendly way, what you are doing wrong. It is a very hard class, but it is also really interesting.
