This class was great. He was one of the best teachers I have ever had. We had many laughs and anytime that people were having trouble he would help out. He offered a lot of extra credit and the final is super easy!

Henrickson knows his stuff but has a problem putting it in terms to understand. I basically had to self-teach myself, and this class is not the easiest to do that in. He has a good sense of humor but can be an ass.

Compare this guy with Pesterfield -the most loved professor on campus. Pesterfield is harder, more annoying and not nearly as good at explaining things. If your a girl, don't rule out Pesterfield-as he is very helpful to girls. but on the whole I definitely recommend Henrickson. If you can listen in class he explains it clearly - much better than P. Also, Henrickson's tests aren't nearly as hard. He understands the chemistry students need to know and how well they need to understand each concept and he teaches and tests to this. Where pesterfield would view it as an insult if you aced one of his tests, Henrickson seems to want students to do well and the class average to be high. Henrickson is a bit arrogant and smart alecky; "I can teach Chemistry to a rock." He once said. But this must be true cause I did good the class and the final that everybody in the country had to take was pretty easy to me.

Dr. Henrickson is great. He has a sense of humor that makes the class more enjoyable. Dr. Henrickson wants to see everyone do well, and makes his tests fair. Chemistry, however, is a hard subject. This class requires a lot of time and energy. He wants you to spend your own time working problems. He gives plenty of practice problems, you just have to do them. This is as good as a 120 class can get.

Hendrickson is the worst teacher in the chemistry department. He was suposed to retire this year and he wasn't able to so he is taking it out on all of his students. He is very rude during class and doesn't allow you to ask questions or explain your answers. He's an idiot.

Dr. Henrickson is a very smart guy and often lets you know that he is smart. Don't get me wrong, this guy is awesome, but is a little full of himself. But with his achievements, I WOULD BE TOO! I did ok on his midterm and final, and awesome on the lab writeups. There are so many points in the class it is almost too hard to screw up. Take this guy!

Attending class is not mandatory, but it is extremely helpful to be there and hear him explain the information. He's a great teacher, very helpful when you don't understand something, and he's very easy to listen to.

Dr. Henrickson is an awesome person! His lab, to me, was way easier than 120! If you mess up on your lab results, most of the time he gives the class a chance to rework it and earn credit back...that ends up helping A TON! He is extremely thorough when explaining the labs, so you most likely will not mess up! I learned a lot in this class. If you are any kind of pre-professional, you should be able to handle this class easily. (And no...if you simply ASK him as to what will be on his midterm and final, he will tell you in great detail....no surprises.)

This class was intimidating and difficult, but definately educational. Dr. Henrickson is a good teacher, but expects you to teach yourself a lot, then come to class with intelligent questions. Have a thick skin. He makes fun of the class if they do badly on the test.

I love chemistry, but I wish that I had taken a different teacher. If you enjoy teaching yourself chemistry and then having a smart ass professor make fun of you about how poorly you did on the tests then by all means take Dr. Henrickson.

There is entirely too much information presented in one semester. I realize that Dr. H wants to give us the best overview of the material as possible, but I feel that I would benefit much more from the class if smaller amounts of material were taught in greater detail with more time dedicated to each. The class lecture seems to be very random; without the text for additional reading and reference, I would be lost in the class.

Great teacher! Tests are rather difficult, especially if you don't keep up with the material and read the book.
