Dr. Philhous was the WORST teacher i have ever had. I am an A, B student and i care alot about my grades, i woked my but off and got a C. He talks at you and not to you. VERY BOREING. Unless you can learn on your own with absolutly no help from the teacher, DO NOT TAKE THIS MAN

Accounting is a hard class no matter who you have but joel makes it at least tolerable. He helps you if you need it an gives study guides for the exams. The homework is not mandatory but helpful

this man is one of the worst teachers i have ever had. i am an A student and i am having to retaking this class with a different teacher. VERY BOREING, i fell asleep while he was reading the syllabus the first day of class. He can be a smarta**. Unless you do very well with learning on your own with no help from the teacher, DO NOT take this man!!!

this was the hardest class that i have ever taken. i have a not so smart friend who has the very same class with a different professor and he received an A. this teacher knew way too much information and tried to cram it all in your head in one semester. there were three basic test, 50% multiple choice and 50% problem solving. you have 7 quizzes and the only nice thing that he does all semester is give you the top five which is worth a whole 50 points. no extra credit, no sympathy, no worksheets, nothing at all. i think that i would have done better with a different teacher but i will never know. the final is comprehensive and all of the accounting 200 professors make the final. this was the hardest of course which made me end up with a C. i do not recommend him to anyone. any other professor would be better i promise. take my word for it. this unfortunately is my first C ever.

This is a class only for Finance majors and is required. It is only offered as a night class and he will lecture the whole time without taking a break. I dropped it and plan to take it when Dr. Philhours dies or retires and somebody else teaches it. Good Luck if you are going to take it.

BEWARE! Unless you're a dedicated student who can learn easily on your own, DON'T TAKE THIS COURSE! Class basically consisted of working problems from the night before. Not much "teaching" there. Good luck!
