If you enjoy meteorology you will enjoy Tammy. She wants you to call her by her first name and call her at home if you need here. She actually cares about her students and wants to see them succeed. She can seem very picky about her assignments but if you do what she tells you to do you will be fine.

Tammy is probably the most hard-headed, closed-minded teacher I have ever had. It is almost a waste of time to do the reading because she tends to say the book is "not exactly right". She will make you feel like an ass in front of the whole class and on quizzes.For example, on one of my quizzes, instead of simply marking an X through the incorrect answer I put, she crossed the whole thing out and next to it wrote : "NO!!!". A simple X would have done the trick. I wouldn't recommend class participation in discussions unless you want to be shut down. She is one of the main reasons I dropped my Meteorology major.

Very hard course. This class is hard. The tests are tricky and is worded very different from the notes that you take in class. Good luck if you happen to take this class, you will need it.

She ruined my perfect GPA. I dreaded going to her class every day knowing that she would bitch at me for anything she could find wrong with my work. It doesnt matter if you spend 1000 hours on the assignments she will still find some stupid miniscule mistake to make you feel like poop. The lady clearly needs some kind of help. Why was she even hired? Can anyone answer this question? She has NO teaching abilities! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY OF HER CLASSES. SHE TURNS MEAN AFTER THE DROP DATE HAS PASSED FOR THE CLASS. AFTER THAT SHE KNOWS SHE HAS YOU IN HER CONTROL AND TURNS PSYCHO.

DONT TAKE ANY OF HER CLASSES. SHE IS A WITCH!

Do you like weather? Do you like tv? This WOULD be the class for you IF there was a different teacher. This is the second of three classes (328,329,429) in the new broadcast weather program. I have been in the first two classes and just got done with the second one. In my entire experience at WKU, I have never had such an evil teacher. At first she will be nice, but then I guarantee you the whole class will despise Mrs. Garrison by the end of the semester. She will humiliate you in front of the whole class, make you cry, tell you that you will never make it on tv, and accuse you of cheating. For some reason if you enroll in her classes and labs, be on anti-depressants. Don't let her discourage you from your dreams! And don't have any cell phones (even if they are off) or she will confiscate them. Don't talk in class, and if you have to go to the bathroom you have to ask her for a pass. Just kidding on the hall pass part... but really... I felt like i was in high school again!!!!!!!! SHE IS EVILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL In 329, you just go over data and models. In 328, you learn how to make computer graphics. In 429, its everything combined and then more yelling by her so she can turn you into a little Tammy. If you get really discouraged, start a petition to get her fired. But, don't let Terry (her husband who teaches the news classes) get in your way.... it's all a bunch of politics and confliction.

She thinks she is never wrong. I hated this class and I hated her. I think she may be still bitter from her stint in broadcasting.

The material was a sinch, but she is the most controlling, f*cked up woman I have ever met in my life.

If you want to go into the Broadcast Meteorology field, do not take this teacher. Go to another school! This is the most screwed up program I have ever seen. If you take her, you will regret it, she is just plain mean! Also known as the "Tamminator".
