eventhough this class is not required, you have to take this class from Dr.Ziegler. You design a Robot with LEGO. It is a lot of fun.
if you don't know LISP language, you might have some difficulty at the beggining of the course. She is not covering it very well.

Challenging course, but Dr. Ziegler keeps it interesting. She's knows her stuff and is a great teacher. I'd recommend taking her for any CS class you can if you want to learn.

A lot of homework. If you have no clue about C++ like me then you will be speending a lot of time outside of class. The discussion board is there but no one uses it. My first C.

I found this class to be horribly repetitive. The topics are covered very slowly, so if you like to move at a crawl, this is the class for you. Dr Ziegler gives a lot of assignments. The "mini-tasks" are given about every week and consist of fairly simple, 5 point problems. Her "assignments" are bigger and consist of writing classes, and small programs, and are given about every few weeks. I disliked the long time spent on each general topic. The exams were fairly easy, writing some simple code, correcting errors (syntax and logic), etc.

This was not an easy class, but all of the concepts taught were extremely useful and worth knowing. As always, Dr. Ziegler keeps the class interested with her hilarious sarcasm and elaborate visual aids. Be sure to find a good lab partner for the labs that are required. This class was frustrating at times but fun nonetheless.

Great teacher. I enjoyed the class. I read another post that says Dr. Ziegler has a heavy accent. I don't think she has much of an accent at all.

Dr. Ziegler was an excellent professor. She is very eager to answer questions and extremely helpful. I learned a lot from her and got a very good C++ background.

This class is only hard if you don't take notes, don't pay attention, or just complain the whole time. The assignments are hard, but very doable. I think the main problem is people don't go and ask when they have a question.

She assumes you know everything that you should have been taught, therefore she teaches over your head. She doesn't take enough time to make sure you get what she is teaching. If this class weren't required would not take it again.

This professor has 3 main problems: she talks too fast with a heavy accent, doesn't return papers in anything approaching a timely fashion, and relies too much on poorly designed application problems rather than theory for an upper level class. This is an extremely difficult class to begin with - don't make it harder by taking Ziegler.
