Additional Comments |
This is a hard course, but Dr. Taylor makes it wonderful. The first two tests are called essay tests, but they really aren't. They're short answer. You have to be able to explain the significance of a quote, as well as who said it and where it came from, but believe it or not, this isn't difficult if you've read and understood the material. Dr. Taylor picks quotes that you will be able to recognize from both the class lecture, as well as the content of the quote. The first two tests weren't terribly difficult if you keep up with the reading. The final is cumulative and primarily matching. You have to match author to work, work to period, topic of quote to who the quote is about, etc. The final was extremely tough, but Dr. Taylor is a very fair teacher. There is also an essay paper. The class is always interesting. I would gladly take Dr. Taylor again
