Do not take this loser. He is incredibly boring... his lectures follow directly out of the book = no work for him. His tests are sentences taken directly from a 2-300 page section of the book = lotta work for you. He is flamboyantly you-know-what; he talks about sex and drugs a lot; and he is ANAL in the purest sense of the word. You have to put your stuff at the door and present your WKU ID when you turn your test in, as if someone will take it for you.... because so many people do that. I regret taking this class.... it was my first C EVER.

This class was an intersting class... if ya want to talk about sex a lot than this is your class. Attendence is not madatory but it is encouraged (don't show up and you fail, it's as simple as that) ~ It is EXTREMELY too hard for an intro class and the professor knows that... he even admitted to failing this course the first time he took it so it's almost like he is out to fail you.. don't take this class !!! seriously

good teacher who knows what he is doing but it'sa fairly hard "intro" class... if you are a psych major and interested in psych then you should be fine but if you are taking this as a general ed. requirement do yourself a favor and either take a different teacher or different course... still enjoyed the classs however

Dr. Helms is a great teacher he's very open and likes to talk about drugs and sex a lot most of the time. All his lectures are done on power point and everythings in the book. The good thing about this class, is your aloud to miss a test, which ever one you want you can take all and he drops the lowest one or you can take all of them and skip the final and that's the one he drops. But he's a very easy going guy and you'll have fun in class, he loves it when you ask questions. So if you can take him he's really interesting.

Prof. Helms is an okay guy, although he can be a major smart ass. slightly perverted. His favorite subject is sex. His tests are all multiple choice and only consist of 50 questions, but sometimes it's hard to tell what's going to be on the exams. He doesn't really tell you what will be on the tests.

He is the worst teacher at Western!! During tests you must leave your belongings outside the door and have your student ID out. On the first test I made a 62, the class average was a 55, with the highest grade being a 86. I even studied and attended class everyday. He is so anal that you cannot even use a recorder to tape him. A 100 level class should not be so hard that no one can pass. Especially you study and take it seriously, like I did. DO NOT TAKE THIS MAN, I REPEAT, DO NOT TAKE THIS MAN!!! He will make your life a living hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
