Additional Comments
miller teaches 118 by saying, "this is how i would explain this to my elementary math students." which in actuality means, "you all are my elementary students." while in the mathematical world, this may be true, the fact is students taking 118 have been doing this algebra stuff since 8th grade and have even had some calculus. if not, they'd be coasting through 116 to fill up the math requirement.

the 1000 quizes are hardly worth anything, and she offers extra credit, but don't bother. my quiz grade at the end of the semester was 113 and i still got a B.

also, be prepared to hear the word "intuitively" 3 times a day 5 days a week.

apparently, everything algebraic is intuitive.
