VERY BORING TEACHER. He gives massive notes during class. The test are easy because he tells you what will be on them before the test. You have to do a book review essay and an essay on a person from that time period. The essay's are fairly simple because he gives you the exact format. The lecture is very boring and he will change the subject many times and you don't know where he is going with it. It is very confusing & boring. If you like football most of his lectures tend to turn to football.

Mr. Caroll is a wonderful teacher. Western Civ is hard but he makes it interesting and understandable. He pretty much tells you exactly what the test questions will be about and gives you the essay before each test. You take a lot of notes but the tests are straight from the notes. You do have to read one book and do a book review over it but it's not bad, he tells you exactly what he wants in the book review so there are no questions. Take Carroll, he's great!

Mr. Carroll is wonderful. Take him. Don't take anyone else. Since you have to take History 119 or 120 I strongly urge you to take him. He will give 5 tests, dropping the lowest two. So ultimately if you are happy with the first 3 tests, you won't have to take the last two (this includes the final). There will be one book report and one research essay on a person from the time period. Acquire his essays that are offered in the computer lab and go by the syllabus essay requirements. There will be two take home tests. On the in class tests there will be matching, chrono order, T/F, multiple choice and essay question. All of this information he gives you ahead of time so there is no guess work.

I took this guy as a freshman for 120 and got an A. Then one year later I took 119 got an F. Three years latter had to take 119 again in the summer so I to take him again. This guy a complete weirdo. He gives more notes than any teacher iv ever had(75% of which aren't on the test) His projects are Subjective and you never know what your going to get. Don't work to hard on the projects becase if you spend to much time you might get a D anyway. His Test used to be Multiple choice, but now they are Open responce which he grades just as hard as the projects. He's a know it all and a real jerk.

Wonderful teacher who is always willing to help. If you show up for class and take the notes given, you will do just fine in this class. A difficult subject for me but with this professors way of teaching I was able to get an A in the class. I would highly recommend this professor for this subject.

Very easy, great teacher, enthusiastic. Gives curves and grading scale is wonderful. TAKE HIM!! I promise you will not regret

carroll is a dick! he doesn't give a crap about anyones grade, if your signment isn't on time you get a zero. worst teacher ever, for your own good don't take his class.
