Additional Comments
Dr. Strow is a young guy who loves teaching and loves economics. He knows his subject and is effective at presenting it in a manner that is easy to understand. He's very enthusiastic and makes the material interesting, no matter how boring it is.

Be prepared to take a lot of notes and draw graphs over and over and over again. He uses lots of current events to convey the concepts, which makes them a bit easier to grasp. He's also prone to make lots of jokes (and half of them are bad, but of the so-bad-they're-good variety, which means you'll remember them when taking a test), which serves to keep things upbeat.

I didn't really find the textbook to be of much use. If you're having trouble understanding something in your notes, it might help you out a bit, but otherwise, don't bother. You have to subscribe to The Economist magazine, and there are always a few test/quiz questions from some of the articles. If you've got the lecture/textbook stuff aced, forget The Economist and don't worry about it.

Your lowest quiz grade is dropped, and your next lowest quiz grade can be dropped if you submit an extra credit paper. The tests and quizzes *will* require perparation and some good study time, but he offers sample tests/quizzes and a voluntary review session before each one. Take Uncle Lee's advice and work the samples and attend the reviews.

I like the guy, I like the way he presents the material, and I like the fact that I'm understanding it all.
