Took her class online. She is difficult to understand on tegrity videos, the sound quality is low, muffled and noisy. I spoke to her about this problem but she got defensive and told me to speak to IT department and copy/pasted an email of one student saying that the tegrity/notes helped her, so therefore that meant nothing should be changed about how she is presenting the material. Frustrating. I'm sure she means well, she knows her material well but I felt that she did not clearly communicate it well enough. In my opinion she is not an online ready instructor.

Okay, this course was not hard or challenging by any means. The huge problem was, she had her grad student, Ms. Austin teach us the entire semester. Dr. Lartey came to class the first day and some time mid-semester, and she seemed alright. I think she actually knew what she was talking about. Ms. Austin on the other hand knew less about personal health than any high school freshman. She didn't know the difference between aerobic and anaerobic exercises! It got to the point where we would ask her questions about the powerpoint (all she does is read off of it word for word) just to hear her say how she know nothing about what she's teaching. If you're taking this class and you don't want to shoot yourself I suggest you e-mail Dr. Lartey and ask if she'll have a student teaching, and if so, try to get another professor. Sure the class was a joke, but it was obnoxious and I don't pay nearly $5,000 in tuition to be taught by myself.

I am not very good in Math or Stats, but Dr. Lartey made the material very easy to understand. This was a 3 week Summer Web course and with her PowerPoints and Tegrity Videos, she made what could have been a very difficult course very easy to understand. The videos are anywhere from 20 minutes to 60 minutes with 3 to 4 videos per week. She gives you plenty of sample problems to try and explains the steps and reasoning for each formula. The homework is very time consuming but its a web course so its still less than if you had to take the class on campus. There are 3 exams (not accumulative). There are 20 questions for each exam, but don't be fooled. There is a 2 hour limit and once you submit an answer you can not go back. Take your time, read over notes and Powerpoints and Homework and you should do fine. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Lartey for any Class. She has a slight accent but is still very understandable and makes the class very enjoyable!!!!

Allows you to use notes on two out of four tests - one of which may include the final! She is very entertaining but has a slight accent but it is easy to catch on to most things she says!

As a teacher Ms. Lartey is wonderful and I recommend everyone to take her class. I had wonderful time taking her class and you learn a lot. Her test and assignments are easy.

But as an advisor, she sucks because she is rude. First of all she gets mad if you don't knock her door, or make an appointment. She will tell you to fill the forms outside her office. When you finish filling the forms, you should knock the door before you re-enter her office. She won’t let you talk and you have to listen what she tells you. She hates filling the forms if you change your mind on certain things.

BEST stats class if you need one! Dr.Lartey is so cute and funny! I don't really like math but she made coming to class fun. The first test is a little difficult so study! But the second test is open notes! (: Great teacher, willing to help you and wants to be your friend!

She was probably my favorite professor. She is from Ghana so she has an accent but after a day or two you understand her completely. She post everything on Blackboard and is extremely helpful. She is pretty funny as well. As long as you go to class and pay attention you get a pretty good grade in there.

Lartey is a sweet woman. She's got a bit of an accent, but not so much that you can't understand her, just enough that it's funny. Her tests are difficult and often include some information that's not covered in the notes. However, she gives you the notes so you don't have to write anything at all. She also gives these little challenges which are really just free participation grades. Easy class.

I dreaded taking stats...but Dr. Lartey is wonderful!!! She breaks it down where its hard not to get it. Lets you miss as long as you email her before class. Tests are mostly math work..but its easy!

Dr. Lartey is amazing her accent is a little hard to understand, but she tries to keep you entertained!! Very easy class you should take her!

Dr. Lartey is very nice, however her accent got me at first. She really does want you to succeed. We had 3 tests and she gave us study guides. The class wasn't that bad, I would recommend her if you need stats.
