The class is pretty easy if you come and take notes. Didn't read every day, but did just fine based on class. Dr. Rich helped whenever I had a question. Good sense of humor. If you get less than a C, you just didn't try at all.

Dr. Rich makes you work, but wants you to succeed. If you do 10% better on test 2, he'll use that to replace test 1 too. Extra credit and easy quizzes if you read and come to class regularly. Lots of notes, but he also posts his Powerpoints after class and he's in his office a lot. Not an easy class, but also not hard to get a C or higher.

He think's he is high and mighty and the smartest person walking this earth just because he has his doctorate degree. He won't reply to emails unless you address him as such. There are a million power points that he reads off of every day and that is all you will do over and over and over. When he sees that there is no one in class he will give a quiz.

If you were to look-up the word "Dick" in the dictionary his picture would be there. I have NEVER disliked a professor or a professor's teachings as much as I regret taking him & how much I dreaded going to class and listening to him speak. Should've dropped when I had the chance.

Dr. Rich is great! He makes class interesting, fun, and relevant. I learned a ton. He designs the course so that if you come to class, you will do well. He wants people to succeed as long as they try, and he is a hilarious professor.

I love Dr. Rich. Great teacher. If you take this class, be warned, it is a lot of effort. To keep up with his lessons you must read large sections from the textbook as well as additional outside sources he gives you. There are few grades, so every grade counts. If you fail one, you have to make near perfect on the rest. Also some assignments are graded tough. Overall he will provide some leniency when he knows it is needed. Great guy! Very funny. I hope I can have him again sometime. If you like to slack, this would be a bad idea for you.

Dr. Rich is a great professor! I The readings can be quite boring, but Rich spices it up with his lectures and makes it easier to understand. Would highly recommend taking him for this class, and if into Korean politics he offers a 400 level class in it.
