The only difficult thing about this class is fulfilling all 25 hours of observation. The only requirements are to show up to the first meeting and to sit through 25 hours of observation (completing an observation form about each session that you watch.) I would advise starting your observation after the first (and only) class meeting instead of waiting towards the end of the semester because the lab closes shortly after Thanksgiving break. The work isn't difficult, but it becomes tedious to watch so many hours.

Mary Lloyd Moore is a very good teacher. I learned a lot from her in diagnostics and especially phonetics. Don't worry, with practice you will be fine in phonetics. Mrs. Moore is very sophisticated and well respected. The tests in diagnostics are not that bad, just study what she tells you to. Phonetics is a little more difficult. Good Luck!!

For CD students she is so easy. No notes, no tests, no class to go to, no final and no teacher! It is completely on your own time. If you observe the clients and get all of you hours in you get an A if not you get an F, easy as that!!!

This class is the one that will make you decide whether or not you want to be a Speech Pathologist. You do 25 hours of observation, fill out forms documenting observation and have Ms. Moore sign the sheet. It's easy, but leave some time in your schedule to get the observations done.
