Additional Comments |
Dr. Lucas is challenging. His lectures last the entire period and are filled with notes, he gives twelve random pop quizzes throughout the semester, and his tests are all essay. He offers extra credit opportunities by way of attending "cultural" events on campus, and the book review listed on the syllabus as "required" is, in fact, extra credit. On the upside, I did learn a lot in his class. This is the good part, though. Although Dr. Lucas is very knowledgable and offers a proper challenge, he is also rude and condescending to his students in his "jokes." He often crosses the line and has a bad habit of picking on students who actually do participate. However, if you do take this class, I would recommend participating as much as possible. Otherwise, take someone else. Good luck.
