This class was very difficult for me, the teacher went way too fast and was very unclear about material. There are only 4 tests and a few small extra credits. If you fail one test you are in trouble. The tests are 25 multiple choice and are from 4 chapters so 5 questions on each chapter.

I do NOT recommend that you take this professor. Granted, he is an intelligent man but that might be his biggest problem. He thinks that everything in economics is so so easy and he can't begin to imagine why all of his students to feel the same way. He is not able to explain things very well and he just expects you to get everything.
Attendance is required and you will lose points after you miss 4 classes. There are 13 homework assignments of which he counts your highest 10 for a total of 100 points. The only good thing about this class is the homework. All problems are the "key questions" out of the book and if you go to the book website the answers to all the problems are online. There are 4 exams worth 75 points each. The exams are usually over 5 chapters at a time. They consist of defining terms, listing questions, and mainly problem solving.

Mr. Roberts is a very intelligent teacher. He makes jokes in class and has a unique sense of humor. The only way I would reccommend this man to anyone is if they're up for the challenge. This class is EXTREMELY hard and you HAVE TO STUDY! no questions asked. If you need help in the class he's more than willing to help you. If you decide to get lazy (like most of us do) and not come to class, you won't pass. Look at my grade and I went to class everyday. I just didn't study like I was supposed to. STUDY...it's the key to success in this class AND doing ALL of the homework! that helps out also...you get 13 homework assignments and he drops your lowest 3! if you do decide to take this class with Mr. Roberts, be cautious and aware.

Not bad for an econ class. He's a pretty funny man at times and while his lectures can be boring, it's important to attend class and at least pretend to pay attention. Also, be sure to do ALL of the homework. This can really boost your grades, plus a bulk of the tests come from the homework problems.

Dr. Roberts is a good teacher and enjoys what he is teaching. I didn't even read the book just looked over the key parts before the test and I did fine. Also the homework problems are just like the problems on the test.

I've heard a lot of people say he is hard to follow but after the first test I knew exactly what to write down during his lectures. Make sure you write down any lists he gives you and definitions and do your homework and you will seriously know everything you need for the test. I found it incredibly easy and am taking him again for Micro.

Dr. Roberts is a terrible teacher. His handwriting is illegible and he makes the tests a lot harder than they should be. He makes no effort to know his students at all. He writes all over the board - plus he is really boring. Don't take him.

This class requires a little bit of work in order to get a good grade but if you can do that then you will be alright. Dr. Roberts assigns homework throughout the semster that adds up to be one test grade. These homeworks are really easy and will usually pull you overall test grade up one lettergrade.

Dr. Roberts is a good teacher, but he moves fast. Prepare to take a lot of notes b/c if you don't, you'll be lost. You will do homework problems from the book, so you do need to get it. He will answer questions for you and such, so he's a good teacher to take.

For this class you do need to study for the tests, but the homework problems are easy, and Dr. Roberts is great about going over anything and everything. He goes over everything you need to know for the tests in his lectures, and the homework problems are great practice for his exams. good teacher.

Dr. Robets really knows his stuff but he tries to get through a 26 chapter book in one semester. He is a fairly good teacher and i will probably take him again for econ 203. He goes really fast during class so you better try and keep up and study your ass off. Good luck

Dr. Roberts is very easy to pass. As long as you do homework, which comes to 2-3 problems per week...not much at all; you'll do good. The exam is composed of the homework problems ( 2 or 3), definitions (basic def. from the lectures, if you don't take notes you can find them in the book) and sometimes there are listings (give three uses of money).
However, if you can stay awake in the class take it. It is so boring, that there wasn't one time I haven't fall asleep. But that's just me.. If you really like economics,,than this is perfect professor for you.
I hardly take notes in the class, but I do homework, and on the last exam i got a 100%. So, it's not hard at all.
I would recommened him.

This class wasn't bad. I hadn't had any other econ class and Prof. Roberts made it interesting. He is an old goof always spitting out jokes. I would say the class is semi-difficult but it should be. The tests aren't bad if you study. He tells you what will be on it, so you just have to pay attention.

Roberts knows what he is talking about. If you don't like to take notes and listen, then dont take this class. Many reasons people fail his class is they don't put in the time required, but its not rocket science. Use common sense, study the graphs and attend class. You don't even have to read the book. Just show up, take good notes, and thats it. I will attest to the fact that the majority of students that was in my class recieved C or below, but they didn't attend class regularly . Do your homework because it will bring your grade up at least one letter grade-how great is that!

This course is challenging. However, if you keep up with the reading, attend class, and do the homework you should have no problem passing this course. Mr.Roberts is willing to help any student that has questions if you just go to his office and ask. The first page of the tests are vocabulary that he clearly defines in class. The other pages consist of varying problems. I must admit the graphs were extremely hard to manipulate. However, by doing well on the rest of the test, and showing Mr. Roberts you made an effort, the graphs become small potatoes.

Some people say that Professor Roberts is hard to follow. He isn't. If you read the material before class, you will know what he's talking about. Plus he loves for students to come in to his office for help. There is no excuse. His tests are mainly a sheet of definitions (usually about 6 or 7) and then 2 to 3 sheets in which you will have to do various problem solving problems, consisting of drawing graphs or making computations. They are difficult, but if you study, you will kick ass. Professor Roberts likes to tell jokes in a blunt fashion in order to keep students awake. Plus he'll single you out in class to ask you questions in order to contribute to his lecture- another reason why you should read before you come to class. He will make you look stupid otherwise. Unless you want to sit for 55 minutes listening to him drone about his personal economic theory, blaze through the book at light speed, and play some games with numbers then you'll fail his course. He tries to get through the entire book in a semester, test are EXTREMELY difficult with mostly listing, word problems, and graphs. No grading curve in this class, either. Roberts' grading is different for each student, so even if you and your buddy have the same answer to a homework assignment, one of you will probably get it wrong, and good luck trying to get anything done about it.
