This class is very interesting and Dr. Gotlieb makes it feel like you're not learning a lot but you really are. He's a good guy, but does get on tangents about irrelevant material. There's a very easy group presentation due during the semester. He isn't too hard on you, but make sure you use key vocabulary words from his lessons to earn the best grade. Also, make sure you don't read off of the power point slides during the presentation or he will deduct lots of points. Overall a pretty average class.

Dr. Gotlieb knows his material very well and does provide several good insights during class. You DO need the book as tests come from lecture notes and the book. You seriously have to study to get A's though as the material per test is several chapters (~175 pages). The class itself is somewhat interesting. Gotlieb tends to get off on tangents about the economy, most of which are completely incorrect. The project is somewhat difficult, he looks for very specific points in the paper and presentation.

This guy is a skilled business man with little skill in knowing how to be a college professor. His notes and chapters are not the only things you need to know about this course. You also need to know things on your own otherwise you will fail the class. The notes and chapters are mostly different than what the test questions ask. You also need to pick a good group for your presentation because he is very judgmental about not only the information from the presentation but how you present it. I would strongly recommend a different professor for this class.

Mr. Gotlieb is an overall nice man but for an introductory course, he made this class entirely too hard. I rarely get C's and i was so upset about this class that I came on here to write him an evaluation. I have friends in another marketing class (different teacher) that LOVED it and I hated mine. You MUST read the book for his tests. Most of the questions come out of there and you write so many notes but don't use them to study. Also, you have a group project with 9 other people. NINE PEOPLE. ridiculous.

Dr. Gotlieb was a really great professor! He cares about his students more than any other marketing professor I've ever had and he really cares about the success of his students. the exams are not impossible as long as you read the text book, but you really have to read and study your notes to do well on the exams. The group project is extremely overwhelming, as long as you have a good dependable group you will do fine... He drills the presentation about ever little thing so make sure you look up and do not ever look at the powerpoint screen....

Dr. Gotlieb is an okay guy. To do well in his class you must read and I mean actually read the book and look over his notes because they do not coincide. The project takes up a lot of time, but other than that it is an okay class.

I think Dr. Gotlieb is a great professor. At times he can be rather boring, but he really cares about his students learning and is willing to help in any way he can. The research project he assigns is thorough and quite time consuming, but overall I learned a lot from it. He was always willing to help when I had questions and is very knowledgeable of Marketing Research. I would recommend him.

Gotlieb is a good professor because he really cares about his students. He explains everything IN DETAIL (like, to the point where it can get annoying). The whole class is based around this huge project you have to do with a group. PICK A GOOD GROUP so you won't be stuck doing all the work. I cannot stress this enough!!!

To paraphrase other "evaluations"..."This man is depriving a villiage somewhere of an idiot". He is boring and whereas he may have been an incompetent executive in AZ in another life. He's a worse teacher here in KY.

Dr. Gotlieb is the kind of teacher who truly wants his students to learn. In this class, you will learn so much. You will leave his class a better student who know about marketing research. One tip to students is to pick a dependable group who can work together. The group you pick will affect your grade tremedously. I can not stress enough---- Pick a good group!

He really has an interest in his students and it helps that he is an expert in the mktg. field. He is also willing to help his students. I really enjoyed his class.
