Additional Comments |
Yes, the tests are essays but they're easy essays. She only makes the tests over things discussed in class, and she'll give you hints as to what the essays on the tests are about if you ask. I highly recommend taking Dr. Lemerise. She is a great teacher. For the honors class, it's mainly focused on what the class wants to learn, she lets you choose which parts of the chapter you talk about, and she only tests over that.
The honors section does require two papers, but they aren't that bad. However, believe her when she says they get harder as they go on. What she does is she gives you six opportunities to do a paper, you have to do one of the first three and then you can do any of the others after that one. I highly recommend doing the first two papers if you can because the level of difficulty increases with each opportunity. So take the first two, get them out of the way, and you're done. I made the mistake of waiting until the last one for my second paper and it's much harder to write a critical analysis of this paper.
She is a great teacher and willing to go the extra mile to help you. She wants you to make an A, she isn't going to make the class hell, it's relatively easy.
