Dr. Shen is a new professor from China so it was quite difficult to understand him sometimes. There is no text book in the class but you can borrow one from him which is a good idea since his notes aren't that good. Most of his notes are just pictures that he tries to explains. The tests can be tricky, but there are easy homework assignments that can help boost grades. Also he gives extra credit of you attend every class. He is also very sweet and always willing to help if you don't understand. He teaches lab as well and it's the same.
