Additional Comments |
I really like Dr. Abbott. She is very passionate and knows what she is talking about, which is a good thing, because she does a lot of it. I mean that in the a nicest way. This class is never boring. I took this class as an honors class, though I am not an honors student. I feel Dr. Abbott is tough, but you really learn a lot from her. There is a lot of reading, but for the most part, it is pretty good. The books were well picked. Our test were out of class. There were only two, the midterm and the final, but they are really long. On these, you will be expected to write seven out of ten short answer responses and three out of five short answer responses over quotations. There is a five to seven page essay as well. Each of the short answer questions are about a page each...by the time you are done. But you get about a week or week and a half to work on it. You also get the pleasure of writing up a ten to twelve page term paper about any thing you want, as long as it relates to women in US history. This is a wonderful class. I think everyone should take it. I know I really learned a lot.
