I loved this class! I found it really interesting, and Dr. Shake really knows what he's talking about & is a great teacher. The class is basically all notes, but he puts his powerpoints on Blackboard. He also shows videos and does activities to make learning the material easier and more intriguing. He takes a lot of grades and drops at least two of the lowest quiz, mini-assignment, and in-class activity grades. He knows there's a lot of material and that is can be boring or difficult, but he gives you as much help and opportunities to do well in the class if you really try. The class requires a book and a study guide that comes with it. I opened the book once, but the study guide I used before every quiz and exam, and it really helped. As long as you study and aren't completely lazy you can do well in this course. I would suggest Dr. Shake to anyone!

Dr Shake is a great teacher. Even though day in and day out you just take notes he makes the class interesting and fun. He plays videos and does in class activities that relate to the topic we are discussing to keep you involved. The sylabus says a book and study guide book is required but I have never used either one of them and still have an A.
