This was a very hard class. I took this class as a night class, and had the worst time passing it. I was in class each week, and took the tests and quizzes on time. She takes attendance each class, so if you skip you won't do well (as if you would do well if you attended.) The final is very difficult, because it was 25 songs that you had to memorize the composer, name, and time frame that it was produced. You also are counted off for spelling. She gave you 5 minutes before the test to write down information that you memorized before the test. That really did not help too much. All of her tests are matching and fill in the blank. I barely passed this class and I was a senior in the course.

If you know nothing about music you will fail this class. You must have a large music back ground to do well in this class. It super boring when you don't understand what she is saying because you aren't a music major. Her class is entirely to hard for a gen ed class. The final is 25 listenings, meaning you have to listen to 25 songs and know the title and composer spelled correctly! THIS CLASS SUCKS!

This is a good class IF you are willing to take notes and pay attention. Mrs. Hussung is extermely knowlegable and sings and plays the piano during class. (She has a beautiful voice). There are alot of notes, but they come directly from the book so all you need to do is highlight. If you take this class, you might end up liking classical music ;) ~ Overall, she is nice and interesting, but she does expect something out of you.
