She is not a nice person or good teacher. She tends to be rude and makes you feel stupid for asking questions.

This class is based on the study of 20th century fashion. You will absolutely need the class text and will need to attend class. Because its a history class there are lots of notes to take and study. Mrs. Jone's exams are based exactly on the notes so study notes closely for a good grade. This is an interesting course if you enjoy fashion; Mrs. Jones will often bring in garments from the late 1800's-1900's. The final project consists of going to the KY museum on campus and evaluating a historical garment. You have to figure out what date it's from, the designer, find out who may have worn it, analyze the fabric, etc. Jones allows a lot of time for the completion of this project; use time wisely!!! Lots of research is involved. As long as you work hard on this project and study all your notes closely for the exams you'll get a good grade.

This is a very interesting course, but to obtain a good grade, remember that it deals with HISTORY, and unless you are excellent at memorization, be prepared to take A LOT of notes. Many different eras of fashion are covered, and quickly, so in order to do well on exams (and they are difficult if you haven't paid attention) make sure to take good notes over what Mrs. Jones instructs; the mid-term and final are tough, so prepare yourself. The final project deals with dating a period costume. The work will sound overwhelming and difficult at first, but Mrs. Jones allows plenty of time to complete the work. Be sure to use the time WISELY, this is not a project on which you can procrastinate; it requires a lot of research. Of course, Mrs. Jones is a very involved, energetic teacher, so as long as you do the work and participate in class, you'll have no troubles getting along with her:)

I'm not a DMT major so all this didn't come natural to me. But as you can see that really doesn't matter. This is a fun class no matter what major you are! The first test you won't need your text but you will after that. On top of tests you'll also do a designer workbook, a group accessories project, a fashion show, and a working wardrobe poster. They're fun and give you chance to do things you won't do in any other class. Just make flashcards of the design features and you should be fine because that's the hardest part of the course.

This class was soooo easy. Mrs. Jones is great. Although I hated the fact that basically they teach you stuff you already know and act like your children because your a freshman. But that is the universities fault, not Mrs. Jones...she is great!! I took her in everything I could!!

When I took this course, it was a required course. At the time, Mrs. Jones was the director of the department for Freshman Experience. She was a really great addition to my first semester on the hill. We had about two quizes and one essay test which was the final. The quizes were over the book "Tuesdays with Moorie" and we had a name quiz where we had to learn the names of the people in our class, which was only about 30 people. It was nice, I still find myself saying hi to people that I had the class with. The final was simply a short essay about what you learned in the class over the semester. You learn a lot in this class and it definetely helps to ease you into college. If you have a chance to take this course with her, or any course with her, GO FOR IT!!!

Mrs. Jones is so funny and awesome. If your really into Fashion Design this is not a hard course. You just have to know the stuff. Tests are not hard if you study. Attendance is not exactly mandatory, but she likes it when your there and it's great to get in good with professors, plus she is really good. She also teaches Freshman Experience so if you want her GET HER. That class is also easy and fun.

Mrs. Jones is a great teacher. Her class is always interesting. She is also always very helpful in and out of class. She is by far one of my favorite teachers ever. If you can I woluld try my hardest to get into her class. Very little work is done, but you learn a lot.
