Real World Experience with the Elevator pitch
He is kind of shady: Sometimes nice to you, sometimes mean.
Overall good professor.

Marvel either likes you or he doesnt. He grades solely based on opinion. He has no criteria for anything. He isnt even a ENT hes a engineer who got fired. His tests are difficult and have nothing to do with what is covered in class. He has you do 2 page single spaced papers each which he grades overkill. For example, if you write a paper about a new idea and he doesnt like your idea he will give you a 6/10. If you come in 10 seconds late he will not open the door and will not let you make up anything. Overall this class sucks I put in way to much effort to make a B

I think western could find at least one other decent professor to teach this class. There was a fifteen page paper which he didn't tell us about until the third to last week of class. he is a d!k about coming in late (don't embarass yourself by trying) and will grade based on opinion. help us all out by asking your advisor or someone with pull here to find us a better instructor, like an actual entrepreneure. if you have to take him, find an entrepreneure to interview early on and suck up. i know its a b!!ch but he's not a terrible guy if you talk to him in outside class (i think he wants to be a cool guy) and it's the only way to get a decent grade.

Well, I personally will not recommend Marvel to anyone. His class is just boring, lectures all the day by a try-to-be-cool guy. He either likes you or not at all, and if he had some bad impression about you, it's the end of your day! I knew a girl had to withdraw from Marvel's class because he called her name and embarrassed her right in front of the whole class! You will have to write a lot of tedious papers a week, like 2 pages single-spaced almost every week and a ten-page single-space paper at the end of the semester. The optional test review, which he called risk game, gives you chance to see about 40/70 test questions, but you still have to study for the other 30 questions, and you will lose 2 points if it's your turn to answer a question and you get it wrong! I don't feel like learning anything out of this class though! However, he seemed to be the only teacher for this class so if it's a required class for you, good luck with Marvel!

Marvel is a pretty good teacher for the most part. Kind of cocky but its a pretty cool guy. He assigns a lot of activities to be done outside of class. The test reviews are optional and you can only lose points off of your test by going...sounds weird right?? Overall though he is a decent teacher and keeps things fun.

His way of teaching is bad. He talks about himself and his experiences a lot!
Either he like you or not!
exams are about 70 questions! tough!
he proposes a review day (optional) , which consists in answering questions , and taking off 2 points on the exam for every false answer and getting NOTHING for a correct answer!

Matt sucks at teaching. At first, I thought he was good at providing examples of what he was talking about but then realized everything is out of the book. You constantly have small assignments and papers and presentations here and there. From what I've seen outside of class, he either likes you, or really doesn't. Do not come late either, I think it is one of his pet peeves. The biggest problem, I think he is the only prof for MGT 312.

Dr. Marvel is a really nice guy and knows what he is talking about. There are 3 exams that are each 15% of your final grade. There will be review sessions that you have the option of attending but if you miss a question during the review each miss is 1 point off. The advantage is getting to see every question on the test. 2 papers and 2 presentations, each 15% of final grade (Interview entrepreneur and an opportunity recognition). The last 25% is homework, which there is about 1 a week and some due 3 hours after learning of them. By attending a couple of presentations you can get extra credit. The best part of the class was that Dr. Marvel cancelled class like every Friday. I put about 60% effort into this class and I got a B.
