Western Kentucky University / D / Devona Dixon

Professor Dixon is a very sweet lady. However, her expectations are above normal. It seems as though she believes that her class is the only thing that should matter and anything else (other classes, working, etc.) are irrelevant. I love the class discussions, but this class is driving me insane. I am not on here to bash her or anything, but I think that you should think twice about taking the course in order to avoid unnecessary stress.

Dr. Dixon is the worst professor I have ever had. She is not helpful at all in any aspect. She comes across as a very nice person but then if you ask her a question she basically makes you feel very stupid for asking. She never thoroughly explains ANY directions for homework, assignments, etc. so most of the class ends up doing the assignment completely wrong. Her tests and quizzes are usually very difficult so plan on spending numerous hours studying for her exams. I dont think that she wants any of her students to be successful in her classes.

Devona Dixon is a nice professor who tried to teach the course as well as she could. Unfortunately, she would tell us one thing then mean another and we got confused and frustrated. The exams are all problem solving which you might think is easy at first but when you get your test back you will probably be disappointed because she takes off points for the smallest errors ( like didnt round your decimal to the nearest hundreth).

This woman is a complete idiot. The students have to tell her what to do because she can't figure it out for herself. She contradicts everything she says, and don't ever ask her a question because not only does she make you feel like an idiot, she won't answer the question either. It's like she's to stupid to understand what you're asking. Basically you're going to need the text book because you'll have to teach yourself everything. Also there is a project towards the end of the semester. I would say take someone else, but she is the only teacher. Just a warning!
