I took this class through Blackboard and it was probably the easiest course I have taken since becoming a student a WKU. Lots of busy work but at the same time they are easy A's. The quizzes and exams can be tricky but just pay attention to your textbook and you will be fine.

I took this class online and it was a breeze. You have FOREVER to finish all the assignments, so it makes it really easy to do on your own time. You have an assignment and a quiz for each chapter but they are super easy and the quiz is, clearly, open book. You have 4 discussion board assignments also, and you basically just give your opinion over the given topic and you'll get full credit. He gives out a study guide for the midterm, and gets his questions directly from that. He gives out a study guide and the answer sheet for the Final, and once again, he gets his answer right from the study guide. If you have questions about everything, he will usually email you back within a couple of hours or at the latest the next day. He is a great guy. TAKE THIS CLASS!

Chief Waltrip is one of WKU's finest. You will learn more about policing in this one class than you could learn in five others. There is very little technical talk but primarily Waltrip (and guest speakers) speaking of their experiences in law enforcement and how it relates to topics discussed in the text book. Waltrip will read the sections of the book that will appear on the test and gives an easy 10 point true/false quiz at the end of each class. These exact quizzes are often repeated on the tests. There is also three one-to-two page papers that you get credit just for doing. Chief Waltrip also goes out of his way to help any student in any way that he can.
This is a very easy but very informative class that everyone should take.

Chief Waltrip is not only an excellent teacher but an excellent person! He goes out of his way to help anyone who needs help. This class is very interesting and would be great to take if you are even just thinking about going into Law Enforcement. This is not a difficult course. You just take your book to class and follow along with his lecture by highlighting, and the exams are very straight forward. He does not take attendance, however, he gives 10pt quizes on all but one class night--so it's good to go and get those points. I think Spring 2003 may be his last time teaching this, so if you want a GREAT CLASS, take Waltrip.

This class is very easy. The teacher has a good sense of humor, there are no essays or anything. just sit there, take a few notes, then take a short easy quiz at the end of class.

Waltrip is a great prof. I loved the class and learned a lot of great info about the police. Although attendance is not required, he gives a 10 pt. quiz each class, but he reviews everything on the quiz before he gives it to you. Really great class.
